He continued to glare at me as I searched his eyes for any sign of something other than anger. Nothing. I sighed and told him I just wanted to talk. He just rolled his eyes at me.
"I have absolutely nothing to say to a coward like you," he muttered and pushed past me. I grabbed his arm to stop him which earned me a death glare from him.
"I just have one question for you and if you refuse to answer then I'll let it go," I said. He rolled his eyes at me again, saying he probably won't answer it anyways, no matter what it is. "Why do you hate me so much that you want to cause me harm?" I asked, just getting it off my chest as quick as possible. He looked surprised and taken back by my question. After a moments pause he regained his composure.
"Now you ask that, seriously?! You should've been asking that from the damned start!" He said his voice raising a bit. I awkwardly rubbed the back of my neck and sighed. How to explain it to him in a way that won't piss him off?
"I kept telling myself I didn't need or want to know and that all I needed to know was that you hated me. I guess a part of me always wanted to ask, but lets face it you aren't exactly very approachable. And yes I'm scared of you, that's the truth. Seriously though, what is your reason for everything?" I said honestly.
"I hate you and everyone who is friends with you because you're a fake and a lier and I plan to prove it to everyone. I know deep down you're like them, it's only a matter of time before you drag us down," he said angerly and took off. Well that went well, not, and I still have no clue what he's talking about or why he hates me. I do know a little bit more though, but what did it mean?
'Fake? Like them? Drag down? What does it all mean? Captain might know if something happened, I should ask him.'
I gathered my stuff and decided I'd better head to lunch before it's too late to get anything. As I stepped out of the training area Lillyana got up from the chair she was sitting on and came over. She obviously wanted to know how the talk went and I told her what he said.
"Really, that's all he said? Do you have any idea what he meant? I'm honestly surprised he didn't hit you or anything. Don't you think that's odd with how mad he sounded? I -" I put my finger over her mouth to stop her ramblings. She moved my hand and just stared at me with her gorgeous green eyes. I sighed.
"No, I have no idea what that guy is thinking. It is weird though. He also seemed taken off guard when I asked him," I replied. She just shrugged and sighed as well. "Anyways, I was going to maybe ask the Captain if he knows anything. But that can wait until tomorrow, right now I have something else I need to do," I added and took her hand.
"Wha - What are you doing?" She asked blushing and looking down at our hands.
"Just - Just come with me," I said and tugged her to follow me.
"Where are you taking me, Tyrian?" She asked as she kept pace with me. I just led her up to the roof top.
I pulled her gently to the cement wall that surrounded the roof and she stared at me looking confused. Laughing I told her to look around. That's when she finally looked out over the city and smiled. I could tell she loved it.
"I - I like to come up here sometimes when I want to be alone or I'm feeling down. The air is so fresh and the view is really something," I rambled, "Anyways, I promised we could talk later and I really don't feel like food or the others' prying right now."
"I understand, your friends really are a rowdy bunch. They're a handful that's for sure. So when you said you really like me a lot, I - I mean -" I cut her off again and sighed.
"I meant it. I - I lied because the others were being so pushy and rude and I wanted to be the one to tell you. You have no idea how much I wanted to kiss you the other day. I was truly in a hurry, but that also wasn't how I wanted you to know that I -" this time she cut me off.
"Yeah, I suppose that wasn't really the right time or place. So, now what do you plan to do after expressing your feelings to me?" She asked seeming calm but her eyes showed her nervousness. I moved gently behind her and wrapped my arms gently around her. "T - Tyrian, what are you doing now?" She mumbled. Her blush was adorable.
"Well now I just want to enjoy this small date with you and hope you decide to go out with me again," I mumbled resting my chin gently on her shoulder. "So will you be my girlfriend?" I asked after a long silence.
She finally relaxed into my arms and gave a firm nod. I closed my eyes thankful she said yes. This girl never ceases to amaze me. She gave me one condition though and that was, to not go out of my way to hide that we're dating. Basically, she doesn't want me to hide it or be shy about it around others. I agreed to try.
After a while we headed back inside and she headed off to train while I headed to find Captain. That's one thing off my chest, now to get to the bottom of the second issue weighing on me. Dustin.
I took a deep breath before knocking on Captains door. Hopefully he has a moment to spare. He called out for me to enter and I did as instructed.
"I'm sorry to bother you, Sir, but do you have a moment to talk?" I asked once I closed the door behind me. He looked up from his papers and studied me a moment. Nodding he set his papers aside.
"Judging by your tone and your face I can assume it's something important. What can I help you with, Tyrian?" He asked, motioning me to sit.
"Well, it's about Dustin actually. You see I had a talk with him earlier and he said some things that confused me. I thought maybe you might know the answer," I said and took the chair across the desk from him.
