"You'd better explain it to me now, Russell. If you got my guild involved in something dangerous I will come after you myself. Don't think I won't," he replied.
"A dark guild is responsible for all of it. Like I said I can't get into the details right now. The only reason I called you is because I put one of my kids in charge of a project and he needed help so he asked if I'd be willing to let a couple of his friends come over. I didn't expect that dark guild to attack them on that train. Their problem is with us, no one else," I said.
"I heard from Hammond that you called him to give the Stealth Force a mission. Is it really getting that heated between your Guild and the Dark Guild?" He asked and I sighed.
"They killed two as a warning and they are going to attack us again, they're after one of mine. When they will attack? We don't know, but we're going to be fine so I just ask you and the other guilds to stay out of it, It's going to be a war," I said.
"If you wanted us to stay out of it Russell you shouldn't have brought our kids there," Another Guild Leader said over the phone and it sounded like Guild Master Hendrix.
"We only brought them to help with the evacuation, however a couple of them did ask to fight and I had them sign a consent form," I said, "Even one of my own kids is being stubborn about it. As much as I don't want him to fight, he's going to anyways. I have to go, I have said too much over the phone already. I also have something to do, have a good day gentlemen," I said and hung up. I'm sure all the guild masters were listening in, not just the two of them, so I didn't want to say anymore.
I headed back down to the training room to wait for Tyrian, but he was already there and training. He had taken off his sweaty shirt and I wasn't too surprised to see how muscular he actually was. With his level of strength I would actually be surprised if his build wasn't on par. I watched him closely to see how well he was doing. How close were they getting to his body when he dodges? How long does it take him to notice them? How quickly can he move?
I was watching out for all of it. If he barely dodges then it's not time yet to start the next faze of his training. If he can't dodge fully then it's only a matter of time before he's actually hit. The next part of his training could kill him. I was planning on teaching him to avoid not only wepon attacks but magical ones too. Yes he can sense magic, but avoiding and dodging different attacks is a whole nother story.
After another 10 minutes or so a spear headed right towards his chest. I thought it really was going to hit him, but something weird happened. It was almost as if the spear slowed down giving him time to completely dodge it. He has no magic, so what exactly just happened? I briefly caught a glimpse of a glowing blue mark on his chest, but couldn't be sure what it was. It was gone in the blink of an eye.
He didn't seem to notice or if he did he didn't have time to react to it as the next trap went off. Or was it just my eyes playing tricks on me just now? Maybe I'm just tired. Still, after the war I might have him retake the magical tests just to be sure. Of course I don't want anyone to think I have doubts so I'll have to come up with an excuse to do so.
Once dinner time rolled around he had actually been at it for about two hours without a break. I did call him out a couple times at the beginning, but he insisted on going right back in after drinking some water. His stamina is gradually increasing along with his strength and agility.
I called him back out and told him to go get dinner and that I would see him here again in the morning. He had far less cuts than yesterday, but he did have some. I have no doubt he can do this, but who knows how much time we even have to train him. A magic user probably would even need about five days max to do this. So can a normal human do it in the same amount of time or even under that? He'll just have to do it.
Once they find out Dustin betrayed them and notice his sister is gone I have no doubt they will pull a full scale attack. That means we will have no time to lose. By Lunchtime tomorrow if he hasn't gotten it down then I absolutely cannot and will not let him fight. If I have to restrain him to stop him then that is what I will do.
That said a part of me knows that he will surpass my expectations and he will get through this training. As I watched him walk away I sighed. Those two really raised one stubborn kid.
Tyrian's P.O.V.
Too tired to go all the way to my room and then back down to the dining hall I headed straight there. Once I grabbed my food I joined the others and they just stared at me.
"What? If you have something to say just spit it out. I'm too tired to guess what you're staring at me about," I mumbled.
"Um, well, where is your shirt, Tyrian? We're just not used to seeing you like that," Mara said.
"What, it's not like you've never seen a guy without a shirt on. I was training and my shirt got all sweaty, it's not a big deal," I mumbled and then started eating again.
"Lilliana is one lucky woman," I heard Amber say and I nearly choked on a piece of my food. What did she mean by that? Don't tell me she secretly had a crush on me as well?
"Someone is popular with the ladies apparently," Naxos teased and I shot him a glare, as did Amber. Speaking of Lilliana, where us my lovely girlfriend anyways? I glanced around the room to see if she was here, she was not.
"Last I saw her she was training on the training field if you were wondering where your girlfriend was," Dustin said as he joined the table. He then started eating quietly. It irritated me that he could read me that easily. I rolled my eyes and also went back to eating quietly.
"By the way, Tyrian, I got an angry call from my Guild Master earlier. He tried to get me to leave and go back. I explained to him I was staying, but didn't get into the details over the phone. If I survive this battle I'm going to have a lot to answer for," Max said.
"I'm sorry, I know I should have told you that this would be dangerous from the start, but again who knows if they've tapped into our phones or not," I said.
"We all got calls too, but we all decided to stay. Our Guild Masters will understand," Stella said. I sighed, apologized again, and thanked them. The fact they all got calls must mean Captain called them to check in or something.
Once I finished eating I headed to take a shower and then went straight to bed once I was done.
