Sans walked around the space that would've been his if they hadn't been separated all those years ago. It was plain for the most part, an untouched cot in the corner. In the dresser was all sorts of different clothes and regalia for different ceremonies and rites of passage. Nearly all of it was decorated with black, white, cyan, and gold. Three of those were nobel colors. The cyan... that was his color. It seemed... they had waited a very long time for Sans to come and take over. Sans pulled out one of the more casual uniforms of a Tine. It looked to big for him, but it's not like they knew Sans was gonna be short for his species. Sans pulled his father's medallion out of his pocket and put it on the dresser before peeling off his jacket and shirt. He'd been wearing the same outfit for days, he could wear something else for a bit until his clothes were washed. He really did drown in his Tine uniform, but he didn't care. It was only temporary any... maybe? Sans wasn't sure. He completed the uniform why he put on the medallion. No pockets.

"Tine! Tine Sir!" A child ran at Sans as he stepped out. "uh... yeah...?" How did this kid even know? A Tine never lived in her lifetime? Yet she'd recognized Sans as the unofficial Tine immediately. "I made this for you!" The child held up a sewn doll of... a Skeleton? Maybe? Sans thought it looked kinda like a Skeleton. "it looks great kiddo, thank you!" Sans grinned as he took the toy. The child beamed and ran off happily. He brought the little creation inside and went back to the task at hand- washing his clothes. He didn't get far before he was stopped again. "Allow me to wash those for you. I'll get your measurements later so I can fix your uniform, Tine." The Skeleton was walking away with his clothes before he could get a word in. "Looks who's stepping up to his role?" Sans looked over to his ehas. "unintentionally. i've been in the same clothes for days so i changed." Brushy smiled. "I don't know why you are so undecided, uha, this is your home and always has been."
"i have my uha out there, looking for me." The girls looked at each other, curious.⚜️⚜️⚜️
"i took him in during the war, pap was just a baby." Sans pointed to the nursery. "found him in there, buried in his caretakers clothing. poor woman was yet another casualty to the war. we are uhas, family. if he was here, then i would be more willing, but he's out there... worried and alone." Sans looked to where the gates were. He wondered what Papyrus was doing now. How was he dealing with Sans disappearance? Was he and the others searching for him? Did they even remember what direction to look? "So there is yet another Skeleton out there..." Amiri whispered. "yeah... papyrus." Brushy placed a hand on her chest. "Oh, such a sweet name!" Sans looked to her. "i thought i heard something about you having a..." Brushy nodded. "A soulling, yes. Danzig's." Sans perked. "he's still alive?!" She smiled sadly. "No... he passed in an accident not to long ago.." Sans sympathized. They were mates, it was probably hard on her. He hugged Brushy. "my condolences, eha." He murmured. She sniffed as she started to cry, finally breaking. "thank you, Tine..." It sounded so foreign to be called that so often all of a sudden. Especially by his ehas.

Sans was alone for now as he roamed their old lands. The fields of food products were being tended to, Blasters roamed the clearings, free from their masters inventories. Sans should probably do the same. It had been awhile since any of the 24 properly socialized. They were starting to get aggressive. "go easy on the other blasters. they didn't deal with what we had to." He released them into the clearing, Fright stayed ever so loyally at his side. Sans rubbed her muzzle. "i am honestly just thinking of leaving my clothes here and going home... i can always get a new jacket.." Fright rumbled and plonked down. "you want me to stay too, huh? what about papyrus? tori? al and 'dyne?" Fright flopped into the grass, cooing. "i know, i know but... i at least wanna see pap again..." Fright huffed and rolled onto her back. "i can't believe you of all people are disagreeing with me- you always agree with me!" Sans crossed his arms, turning away. Fright wasn't so easily deterred and fell asleep. "that firm in your beliefs, huh..." She was kinda his ride home, so he was stuck here, at least for now.

Sans had his measurements taken, he couldn't tell them no. Brushy was in the nursery. "where'd amiri go?" Sans asked as he looked around at all the babybones. There wasn't actually that many, only four or five compared to the ten to fifteen that used to live in here when he was a boy. "Probably rewriting history. She read it all so she's the only one who can rewrite what we lost." Sans nodded slowly. "thanks brushy." He wanted to tell her Wingdings fate. She deserved to know, since he was here anyway. He could tell her about Grillby too, though Grillby likely didn't remember her since the machine took everything. Maybe if he could get Grillby down there again... "amiri?" The Skeleton hybrid looked at Sans. "Tine Sans." She greeted. "ya really don't have to call me that." Amiri shrugged. "You were looking for me?" Sans nodded. "wingdings. he'd survived the war, ended up underground with me." She gave Sans her attention. "Where is he now?" Sans gulped. "he died in the underground, trying to make it livable for monsters.." She looked down so Sans couldn't read her expression. "... thank you, Sans.."
