Free to do as she pleased, Fright left her master to settle back in to the Skeleton way of life. Meanwhile, she left the encampment all together with one will in mind. Find Papyrus, bring him home. Fright and Sans were still linked. She knew his innermost thoughts and feelings as well as he knew hers. She was by far the most well bonded to him of all his blasters, his comfort when he had none, his partner in crime. Fright lowered her muzzle, sniffing the ground. She trotted along the forest floor, trying to pick up traces of her and Sans scent. She would bring Papyrus so her master wouldn't have to leave his home again. She remembered full well how devastated he was the first time. The blaster would never allow for him to go through such pain again, that she promised. She pause as a breeze danced around her. That scent... impossible. She sniffed the air again. It was the scent she sought, but why so far from either home? Papyrus did not have the sense of home that Sans had it seemed, the Skeleton was lost. It was her job now, to find him... before something else did.

Papyrus was a mess, tromping tiredly through woods that went for miles. He should not have left his car. Or the road for that matter, but with his car running on nothing and broken down, he had no choice but to leave in a futile attempt to find cell service. Now he was lost, hungry, alone, and exhausted. His red boots were caked in much, his battle body was scratched and stained from times he tripped or fallen or gotten caught on plantlife. Papyrus had always thought he was a great woodsman, but now... now he knew what the true wilderness was. The forest of Snowdin wasn't natural. It was planted, an artificial forest that was controlled throught the years in the Underground unlike this forest out here which was truly untamed. Papyrus was way out of his league. He plopped onto the the forest floor to catch a breather. He leaned against a tree. "I should have stayed home..." Papyrus muttered, not for the first time. Something snapped in the distance, making Papyrus jolt and face the threat. Something moved through the foliage, coming closer. Papyrus summoned an attack to defend himself with.

Fright nudged the Skeleton on her back. He was exhausted, laying limp on her. He didn't have much fight in the first place, and when he realized she was friendly, he seemed done. She managed to guide him onto her back and now she was bringing him home. Her mission was nearly complete. Her master would be happy to have his brother back and the clan would grow by yet another. It was a win win to the eyes of the blaster. Papyrus could finally become a proper Skeleton rather than a being of the others. Not that Fright minded the other monster species, it was just that it was always unnatural to see him acting like the other monsters. It was probably her upbringing in the clan that had her thinking like this. Skeletons had always stuck to their own and plus being stuck Underground for so long, killing the human so many times... it made her weary of the other monsters and humans that weren't Skeletons. She huffed. She was thinking too much. Fright checked Papyrus again. He was fine. They were almost back already too. Half a days run. Maybe his sense of direction was a tad better than she thought.

"papyrus!!!" Sans wasn't sure what to think, seeing Fright with his brother on her back. Pap looked to be in bad shape as Sans pulled him off Fright. "help me!" Sans called, a few Skeletons came to help Sans carry Papyrus to one of the empty rooms in the housing. The clan took to taking care of his brother quickly, getting him a new set of clothes and food for when he woke up. Papyrus was in good hands. "hey, where was he, huh? you couldn't have gone all the way back for him, did you?" Sans asked Fright as he stroked her muzzle. Images of the woods flashed into his skull. "looking for me, huh? well thanks for finding him.." Sans pressed his skull into Fright's muzzle. She purred. "What is going on out here? I keep hearing about another Skeleton?" Amiri found Sans like that. "you heard correctly. fright here found my bro, he's resting inside as we speak." Amiri looked intrigued. "The boy you found during the war?" Sans nodded. "i'll introduce you later, fair warning, he doesn't know our tongue. i'll have to translate."

Papyrus woke up on a strange room, on a strange bed. He remembered... the Skeleton animal. It had been friendly, familiar even... after that though was fuzzy. He found a salad and bread for him to eat and clothes he was more than glad to change into. He would have to thank whoever found him for their kindness. It had been nearly a week since he ate and almost a month since he ate anything decent. Once his plate was empty and he was changed into a plain shirt and what looked like sweatpants, he stepped out to find his saviors. He never thought he see others of his own species. But the three or so Skeletons that were busy and about were the first he'd seen other than his brother and Dr. Gaster from Sans memories. "Ach de zet!" A Skeleton rushed over to Papyrus, startling him. "W-WHAT?"
"Byven ke hent za di... kabi al Tine?" Papyrus had NO idea what this Skeleton was saying. He grabbed Papyrus sleeve and pulled him along. Papyrus hardly recognized Sans out of his usual hoodie as he talked with another Skeleton with purple hair. Papyrus was pretty sure she was in Sans memories too. "Tine Sans." Sans looked to the Skeleton, them to Papyrus. "rekt ta. welcome back to the world of the living, bro."
