They knew where Papyrus was heading, but they weren't expecting either to be gone this long. What if they were lost? What if they were trapped there now? The Skeletons wouldn't let them leave? Frisk, Alphys, and Undyne knew the general location of the Skeleton base, village thing, but if they were lost it would be stupid of them to go out looking without a guide... and there was only one monster who'd ever been to Sans original home in the woods. That would mean taking Grillby to Sans and Pap's basement and showing him the past he'd tried to get rid of... remember his dead child. Sans was an accident, but could they do it on purpose? If the boys were hurt... what choice did they have? So the girls and child coaxed Grillby back to the Underground and into the basement to watch his own memories. Grillby didn't really have it easy, that was for sure. It seemed they both had their share of suffering during the old days on the surface. Undyne and Alphys definitely covered Frisk's eyes and ears when Grillby was with that Wingdings guy.

Grillby didn't know what to think. His love, his child, they were both dead. He had allowed himself to forget such important things? What had he been thinking? "I know it's a lot Grillby, but we need your help..." Undyne murmured. "On the contrary... I needed to know. Thank you girls..." He took a breath. "What can I help you with?" Frisk stepped forward. "You've been to Allhalla. Can you take us there?" Grillby shook his head immediately. "No. I cannot. I promised I would never return to their sacred home. Allhalla is far from here. It will take time for them to return, but Papyrus at least has not forgotten you. He grew up with monsters and I know Sans will go where Papyrus goes. Trust me." Grillby wanted to go home... grieve. It was almost like losing Amiri and Wingdings all over again. "O-ok then... th-thanks Grillby..." Alphys stuttered as the bartender went upstairs and out of the basement. "So he's saying they are probably almost home?" Undyne asked in confusion. "I don't know, but he's confident they are coming back, so I guess we wait..." Frisk replied. "I-I just wish we k-knew where they were on their j-journey..."

Frisk's head hung off the couch as the sat on the couch the best way possible. Just when things started to get interesting, Sans and Papyrus had to disappear. They'd decided then that it was time to reset, but... it didn't happen, the button wasn't responding to them. It appeared, but it wouldn't preform reset, like something was blocking it. There next course of action then was to find them, bring them back, but Grillby refused. They were stuck waiting. It was so boring without the Skeleton brothers. They centered around all the fun. Frisk still had questions about Sans life before. If they could learn the language, what happened to Wingdings, if he had a crush on Amiri. How did Skeletons and monsters have the same prophecy if they'd been apart for years and years? Did Sans ever figure out who his mom was? Frisk groaned and pushed themselves off the couch. "What is the matter, my child?" Frisk smiled up at her as she regarded them with worry. "I miss Sans and Papyrus is all..." Toriel came in and sat down. "As do I, but I'm sure they will be back." Frisk sighed. So they heard.
