"HOLY SHI-" Sans groaned as he glared at the door. "What is going on...?" Amiri asked as she sat up. "dunno... wait-" Both skeleton's blushed as they realized they'd slept together. "i-i'm sorry- i didn't mean to-" Amiri shook her head quickly. "We were both tired, Sans. Don't worry yourself. Shall we check it out?" She slipped off the bed and towards the door, Sans was following after her in an instant. "WHAT IN STARS NAME- CHAMPION WHY?!" Sans and Amiri followed the voices to the living room where Champion was trapped, Undyne gawking at the beast while Papyrus was trying to get him back to his inventory. "forgot to warn you... sometimes they can break out of inventory themselves if they aren't used to it." Papyrus turned to Sans. "WHAT DO I DO?!" Amiri was already moving to help, drawing the confused creature back to Pap's inventory. "Ok... WHEN THE- WHAT THE- WHY IS AMIRI ALIVE?!" Oh wow, Undyne remembered Amiri's name. "The monster knows my name?" She backed away uneasily. "it's... a long story..." Sans felt exhaustion seep into his bones like a sponge. "alright, sit down... i'll tell you everything." Sans instructed the gathering group.

Undyne, Alphys, Tori, Asgore, and Mettaton gathered in the living room. Frisk was at school, which Sans was pretty grateful for. Pap had went to make something for everyone, he greatly missed normal food. Sans dozed off standing, truly a feat only he could do, leaving Amiri to the monsters. They mostly just stared, few words were said, much to her relief. "Can you-" The moment Undyne tried to talk to her, Sans cut her off. "she knows very little common." Yeah, no he wasn't actually gonna leave her alone with them, that'd be harsh. "I COME BARING BREAFAST- SANS! THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING, YOU HAD ALL THAT ENERGY IN ALLHALLA!" Sans shrugged. "it was a long journey back. 'm tired." Papyrus gave an exaggerated sigh. "We Are All Tired, Brother, But Please Do Stay Awake." Breakfast spaghetti was served and attention was given to a tired looking Sans. Even Amiri as she nibbled at the new food. It wasn't like anything she'd ever tried before. "alright, so, as most of you know, this is my sister, amiri. turns out there are survivors. amiri here is one of them and wanted to see grillbz before she went back." Sister. A fairly loose term in skeleton culture. "don't say i told you so." Frisk closed their mouth.

"This is good, give your uha my regards." Sans sighed. Oh great, translating time. Yay. "she likes your cooking, bro." Papyrus perked. "TELL HER I SAID THANK YOU!" She gave a nod as soon as Sans turned to her. She seemed to understand without words. Then Sans was slammed with questions. Questions for him, questions for Amiri. Questions like, "How did you survive the massacre?" or "What was it like to live on the Surface all this time?" and even questions like "How did the clan live without Sans?" Those were just Amiri's questions. "How do you feel knowing your clan is alive?" or "Is that what took you so long?" and even "Did you want to stay with them? Why did you come back?" Too much for Sans and definitely questions he didn't know how to answer. He took a shortcut away immediately, Amiri in his grip as he did. "What happened, they got loud." Amiri asked as they ended up... on the roof. He held her close so she wouldn't fall off. "they were asking way too many questions for me to keep up with- or answer." He replied, seating them.

They stayed there for awhile, Amiri taking in the sights of the human/monster city. It was definitely no Allhalla. It was... big. The buildings made of material she'd never seen before, so much taller than the Great Hall. A glint caught her eye. She looked over at Sans, she didn't know when he got it, but he seemed to be polishing a golden sword. The purple hilt was faded from time, a strange symbol hardly visible. She could tell it was still sharp though. He'd been taking good care of it, at least as of late. "That is from the war?" She asked. Sans paused, tense, before relaxing and giving a nod. "it was a gift from the king to me." He replied quietly. "This king, he is like you? A Tine?" Sans hesitated, a sad look flashing across his features. "he was... his son is. you saw asgore downstairs, big goat man, blonde hair and beard?" She nodded. "I still need to be introduced, but yes. I remember him being in there." Sans noted that. Introductions still needed to be had. "his dad gave this to me. he was... a good monster." She nodded. "I'm sorry." Sans smiled gently. "don't be. let's head back, yeah?"

They went back, Sans stopped in his room to drop off Retribution before going out of the safety of his room. "It Was So Weird There, I Couldn't Understand Them At All, They Wear Some Weird Clothes Too. It Suited Sans Very Well, I Must Admit. They Still Don't Have A Set Family Either, They Raise Their Young Together. They Are Constantly Working And It Was Just... So Different." Sans let Papyrus finish. "amiri, you already know papyrus. that is alphys, she's your father's prodigy, undyne is like a clan warrior, captain of the royal guard. toriel and asgore are the king and queen." She nodded slowly. "Tines." Sans nodded back. "yep." She bowed to the others, who had long since went silent. "Hello everyone, thank you for taking care of my Tine." She greeted. Sans chuckled, sweat dropping. "she's greeting you and thanking you for taking care of me." Undyne tisked. "WELL YEAH!" She paused. "Sorry for overwhelming you earlier." Sans shrugged. "it's no biggie, just one at a time, yeah?"
