The girls had turned defensively to the short Skeleton, Amiri summoning an attack to protect herself, Brushy, and Brushy's child. The stranger looked taken aback. She was surprised to see another Skeleton after all these years, there were more. She didn't think the other clans had survived, but where else could the threat had come from. She wasn't going to let him invade their territory. Not when they had no leader to protect them. "hey, hey, i'm not looking for a fight-" Amiri put up a front. She hadn't been in a fight for so long... "That's what they all say." The stranger looked bad as Amiri lunged to protect. "Amiri!" Brushy cried out in surprise as they both disappeared suddenly. Amiri staggered as they somehow ended up outside. "i don't want to hurt you." The stranger held out his hands in a passive motion. "then why are you here?!" She demanded, summoning her attack. "i was born here, eha, just like you. just like brushy. so why don't you put that away before you kill me or something... low hp and all." Amiri paused in her attack. He was born here? He knew them? He'd called her sister and had low hp? "Sans?"

Sans turned to look at Brushy. A smile twitched at his face. "heh, it's been a good hundred plus years, huh? i'm back though!" He pointed fingerguns at Brushy, winking. Amiri gasped softly. "O-oh crap! I'm so sorry for attacking you, Sans!" He waved it off. "water under the bridge, eha." She observed Sans as Brushy regained his attention. He was different. Very different from when they last saw him. His clothes, his demeanor, everything. "Where were you? How have you been? What happened? You're different, but in a good way!" Sans rolled his eyelights at Brushy. "it's a bit of a story. the gist of it, i was returned to earth like the prophecy said where i lived among the monsters until a human returned us to the surface." Brushy's eyelights turned to stars. "Wait so the prophecy came true?! Skeletons and monsters returned to the Earth?!" Sans nodded, though he seemed distracted. "Sans..?" Amiri was on guard again. Something seemed wrong. "... seema.." Just like that, Sans disappeared right before their eyes. "Wha-"
"Where did he go?!" When did he gain such a rare ability?!

He reappeared outside what had become the new main hall. Spectral was being lifted by some of the Papyma's and was being carried back to the room he'd founder her in. He could sense it. It wasn't long now. The Skeleton himself and many others had thought would live forever was dying. His Seema, his mother figure in his life was dying. Sans didn't quite know what to think of it. He'd only just got back and he was loosing someone. Compared to the alternative though... at least he had this chance to say goodbye. Sans knew the others weren't leaving anytime soon as he dodged and ducked between Skeletons to get closer. He reached her bed in notime and crouched beside her. "... this might take awhile.." He whispered to himself, through he was more than ok to wait. "... thank you for your services to the clan, thank you for your services to your tines, thank you for the services of our papyma's. you can rest now, spectral serif of the blackletter clan." Sans wasn't sure what possessed him to say it like that, but it felt... right. He felt a weak hand take his and he was looking his Seema in the eyelights.

"They are yours to take care of now, Tine..." She whispered. "I know you will do well, your Seema's, your father, and I have the upmost faith in you..." She rasped. Sans sucked in a breath. He couldn't deny her on her freaking deathbed.. "i'll do my best.." She smiled. "I can see you are scared and conflicted, but this is your destiny, Tine Sans. You will find that things will fall in your favor..." She smiled gently. "You are a good boy, a good warrior, a good leader. They will follow where you lead them..." Her magic gave out on her and she went limp. Sans sighed shakily and put her hand back on the table. Her soul was dimming, her magic diminishing, getting weaker and weaker. Sans closed his sockets. "goodbye, seema spectral." There was the sound of her soul breaking as she fell away and into dust. Sans slipped out while the others started to collect her dust to spread. Someone had to build the hiwyn for Spectral and who better than him, the successor to the Clans throne. He...  had a lot to think about anyway.

The Hiwyn was erected. Sitting among the dead felt normal to Sans. As a kid this place used to scare him, but after so many genocides... death didn't phase him much anymore. Sure he was sad that Spectral was gone, but mostly he was apathetic to the situation otherwise. "It was you who made the Hiwyn in the walls?" Sans turned to Amiri. "i thought everyone was dead." He replied. "it was my duty as a survivor to put them to rest." Amiri nodded and walked closer. "Will you lead us?" Sans shrugged. "i honestly don't know.."

Sans took a shortcut to the area where the Tine's quarters once stood. There was another building once more in its place, go figure. Sans sighed. He didn't know what was next. He had a sense of obligation both his his friends and his family, he had already been gone longer than he was supposed to. Papyrus probably had the police looking for him at this very moment. He wished Papyrus was here right now. To meet those he knew, to see the clan culture he wanted to learn about, to help him make his decision to stay with his family or go back to his friends who had become family.
