They found Frisk late into the day, stuck and nervous and annoyed all at once. "frisk! how the hell- why are you all the way out here?!" Sans was confused mostly, with a lingerie g sense of dread hanging about him as he realized Frisk probably wasn't alone. "We were trying to catch up with you, Sans! Then your stupid clan attacked us and took the others! They left me here to die!" Stupid? "what was stupid was you guys coming out here in the first place. i was coming back. and their response to you was to be expected, considering their past with humans!" Sans took notice of the wounded shoulder as he dispelled the magic. "now, because of you, i have to convince them to let you guys go." Sans filled Amiri in on what was going on as he magicked Frisk onto Fright and had the blaster track their scents. This had to he one of the stupidest things that these guys had ever done. Sans ignored Frisk as they tried to defend their decisions. It didn't matter now. What was done was done, and Sans was going to have a bad time getting them out of this one.

Undyne struggled and writhed, trying to break the knot that kept them all bound. They were separated and tied to different corners of the shack so they couldn't free each other and none of them could move their hands to undo their own knots. No doubt Undyne and Alphys' wrists were starting to blister from the rope. Papyrus was scared. These people that Sans loved so much were keeping him and his friends against his will and he didn't know if Frisk was ok, or if they were hurt. What if Lady Asgore never saw her child again, what if they all never saw their other friends again- "HEY PAPYRUS! Don't chicken out on me now! You're a member of the Royal Guard, starting now, ok? And Guards, we stay calm in a situation like this, ok? Gotta be calm so we can get out of this." Undyne spoke evenly, helping Papyrus' nerves to relax despite the situation they were in. Stay calm. He could do that. "Y-YES CAPTAIN!" He stammered out as he took a few deep breaths. It was ok, he was ok... they would figure a way out of this... somehow.

It was becoming nightfall then they found the shack. "amiri, can you stay with the kid? they won't respond to them well. if it's just me, things might go better." Sans asked. He knew that it was probably the last thing she wanted, but they couldn't leave Frisk alone out here and risk them resetting and he couldn't bring them there and risk Frisk dying. "And if they ask about me?"
"i'll tell them you're here, taking care of seemtomo." She chuckled and stroked said blasters skull. "Alright then, Sans... just hurry..?" Sans nodded quickly. "i'll do my best." With that, Sans pushed onward, away from Amiri and to the shack. The skeletons noticed him almost immediately and got up. "let's negotiate, hm?" One of the skeletons, someone Sans didn't know, stepped up. "Where Is Amiri?" Sans gestured towards the stream. "her blaster needed a drink and food. she's doing that real quick. are they hurt?" The skeleton shook his head. "The Outsiders Are Unharmed... For Now. We Will Let Them Live, But Only On One Condition." Sans looked to the shack, then to the skeleton. "name it." For Papyrus, he would do anything.

Undyne tried to loosen the heater she was tied to so she could get to Papyrus. "Come on! How can I benchpress a boulder, but not undo a damn knot-" She growled to herself. "Th-these ropes a-are probably i-infused with th-the skeletons m-magic... w-we can't g-go anywhere u-unless they w-want us to get f-free." Alphys stammered, shaken and scared. "Yeah, well I will find a way to break their magic then and kick them in the ass!" Papyrus shook his head immediately. "W-We Need Them To Like Us, Captain..." He pointed out. "... Fine- then I will give them a, um, a firm talking to! Yeah!" Papyrus 'Nyeh'ed quietly, tugging experimentally at his own knot. He hoped they could get free before Sans got here. He didn't want to imagine the position that would put his brother in if he found out about this. Stars, who would he choose? Them, or the monsters and him? Optimistically, he believed it would be him and their friends that Sans chose. "FUHUHU! I DID IT!" Undyne instantly rubbed her freed wrists and went to get Papyrus' knot, then Alphys'. "Let's get out of here!"

Sans was waiting outside for them when Undyne kicked down the door. "come on, hurry." He waved them over and turned to lead them away from the shack and the skeletons hiding in the shadows around it. "S-Sans, y-you dispelled the m-magic?" Sans hesitated a moment. "something like that. amiri and frisk is just up here, try to keep up." Sans picked up his pace, trying to distance himself a little more. The others followed, "Sans, I Am Sorry For Causing Trouble-" Sans turned his skull to Papyrus. "it's fine. everything worked out in the end... so don't worry about it." Amiri stood up when Sans and his friends made it over to them. "Oh, thank the stars everything went ok-" She stopped when she noticed the solemn look on Sans' face. Sans summoned the fastest of his blaster pack. "this is specter. stay with her at all times, yeah? we can make camp here, and head out in the morning..." The others readily agreed. "Sans..?"
"... we leave before dawn, amiri... with specter with them, they won't be able to follow us..." Amiri realized what happened. "Oh Sans... I'm so sorry..."
