Papyrus assumed that they were gone now, dropping off Amiri. He had hoped he could go with. They all wanted to. "Hey, maybe we can catch up? I mean, he's just taking her to the woods, right? We aren't breaking any rules since she'll be going the rest of the way on her own." Undyne suggested. "W-well, yes, that is true..." Papyrus agreed reluctantly. "I-I wanted t-to know m-more about h-her relationship w-with Sans." Alphys mumbled, to which Frisk agreed. "And about what she did while you all were Underground."
"Oh, that's a good question." Undyne snatched up the keys and tossed them to Papyrus. "LET US BE OFF TO CATCH UP THEN!" Papyrus chirped as the others and himself gathered to the door and to the car. He was happy to say one last goodbye to the skeletons before he and Sans separated from them for good. The others were excited just to know that the clan still existed within the world, somewhere where only Sans could find them. Maybe someday things could change, and they could coexist among the humans and monsters, but for now, this was it.⚜️⚜️⚜️
The woods weren't far, but Papyrus assumed that they were gonna go pretty deep and far away, so the drive northeast took roughly three hours before he parked the car on the side of the road and headed deeper in, strictly eastward. Papyrus hoped they weren't late or too far from the meeting location. It was only guesswork, after all. The sun filtered nicely through the trees, making the forest look almost surreal and beautiful. The earthy smell was different from what they were used to, even living in the Underground. It was a lot... fresher. Freer. Undyne loved it. "Damn, I love the woods!" She exclaimed as she jumped a fallen tree, letting her fingers linger on the moss a moment longer. "I-it l-looks pretty..." Alphys could agree, but it was nothing compared to her beloved computer. "My legs are getting tired..." They had taken much longer walks without break, climbed a mountain traversed the Underground, all of that and more, but here and now, they wanted a vantage point to see if there was any skeletons ahead. "I'VE GOT YOU, HUMAN!" Papyrus picked them up and placed them on his shoulders with a smile.

The bliss didn't last. Pain wracked Frisk as a bone hit them, sending them flying off Papyrus and harshly landing in the leaflitter. More bones shot up, segregating Papyrus from the monsters and all of them from Frisk. They cried out as a skeleton stomped on their ribs, yelling at them in the skeleton language and pointing another sharpened bone at their neck. The group was surrounded by a small band of skeletons, but even though their numbers were even, they couldn't pick a fight with them. That would just show how right they were in separating from the monsters and they didn't want that. The skeletons tried to speak to Papyrus, but Frisk knew that wouldn't work. "I-I CAN'T SPEAK YOUR LANGUAGE, I'M SORRY..." When that broke down, they started to talk amongst themselves. Frisk yelped as they were dragged up to a tree and pinned there. If they moved, the blue bones would kill them, so they had no choice but to stay as Papyrus, Undyne, and Alphys were forced to go with them. They were leaving the filthy human behind to die alone or get eaten by predators. Either way, Frisk was really starting to hate this reset.

The monsters and non-Allhallan skeleton was made to ride on the blaster of the non-Allhallan as they traveled. They would not take them home, but rather, take them to a shelter a couple days out from the human to await the Tine. They would be used as ransom to get their Tine back, the monsters couldn't have him. The skeletons needed him more and so long as the Tine complied, the monsters wouldn't be harmed. They would be supplied food and water until the Tine got there and from there... well, that was all explained already. The shelter was put up fairly quickly when they decided they were far enough away from that thing. It was a simple cabin that would do until the exchange was done. The monsters seemed to begrudgingly accept what was happening, but the skeletons could tell they were getting hostile. Who wouldn't after being kidnapped? Still, some of the small group commended them for being peaceful this long and it raised a few questions about if monsters were the same as back then. It was only a couple, but rumors spread fast in Allhalla.

Sans and Amiri didn't leave until the next day, taking to the woods on their blasters. They raced for awhile, for old times sake, and just had fun together while they were still together. Amiri knew that Sans would miss her. Sans knew Amiri would miss him. But they were making the best of the time they had. They stopped and fished at a brooke to let the blasters rest before they continued on. Sans was getting that all too familiar feeling again. "Sans, what is wrong? I thought you liked salmon?" Sans jolted as he realized he was staring off, but every time he got the feeling... "it's not the fish, it's great, really." He bit into it to prove his point. "Then... what is wrong..?" Amiri asked, putting a hand on his shoulder. "i can't... shake the feeling that something is wrong... and every time i get it, i'm right." Amiri's expression turned serious. "Then let's hurry up here and find out what's wrong." The two finished their fish quick and fed the blasters the rest, before taking off, faster than they had before. Sans hoped that whatever was happening, he wasn't too late.
