The Last Warning

Chapter twenty- six: The Last Warning

(Ace's POV)

"Come on you almost got it." Skates said, I was creating a ball of fire in my hand and it was slowly growing in size. "Now you gotta get it to keeps its shape or it'll blow up like the last hundred and seventy-four times." Skates said. Then it blew up in my face, "One more time!" I shouted pushing myself back, "You've been saying that for the past hour take a break and then try again." Skates said. "I can't, if Bolt shows up again then we could be in trouble." I said, then I felt I hand on my shoulder, I turned my head and saw Amy staring at me. "Ace, please take a break." She said, I smiled at her and said, "Alright." I said, "No, come on, I made popcorn." Sonic said. "You can watch me blow up after I've taken a break." I said, then there was a flash of white light blinding everyone. When I opened my eyes again Bolt was standing in front of me, "Hello, it's been a while hasn't it, about a week I believe." He said smirking. "What do you want." I said creating a ball of fire, "I know you still can't control fire properly, and I'm not here to fight, I've come to warn you, in ten days I will begin my attack on this world. You have ten days to come and stop so you might want to collect those Chaos Emeralds of yours cause I'm much stronger than last time. I've finished collecting the fragment of Ace's darkness and I have his." Bolt said and a golden staff appeared in his hand, "Ix's staff!" Shade exclaimed. "That's right, I'll be waiting for you in the place you killed Dark Flame." He said and disappeared. "I have to learn to master pyrokinesis by then." I said, "How many Emeralds do we have?" Sonic asked, "Five, we need two more." Tails said. "Ok then, Skates will help Ace finish mastering pyrokinesis and the rest of us will look for the Emeralds." Sonic said.

(Normal POV)

A week passed by as if it were nothing, the seven Chaos Emerlads had been collected, but Ace still hadn't fully mastered controlling fire. "If Ace doesn't learn well just have to rely on the Chaos Emeralds." Shadow said, "Do you think the four of you can beat Bolt?" Amy asked, "He shouldn't be that much more powerful than Dark Flame, and we're all more powerful then four years ago." Sonic said. "I'll still go to fight too. I don't want to just stand around and watch form the sidelines." Ace said. "Ace, no. Please don't. I'm not going to lose you again." Amy said, "I have to try. Even if can't control fire I have to try." Ace said. Amy didn't says anything for a while, "Here, well give you guys your privacy." Sonic said. And everyone left except Ace and Amy, "Can you promise me that you will come back. Can you guarantee I won't have to go through losing you." She said and began crying. Ace walked closer to her and hugged her tightly. "I promise I will come back." Ace said.

(Ace's POV)

It was the night before the tenth day and I was outside staring up at the sky, I didn't know what to think. I haven't been able to fully control fire, most of the time it was just luck and I haven't been able to use Chaos Control. "Can't sleep?" Somone asked from behind me, I turned around and I saw Amy standing in the door. "Yeah, I have too much on my mind, I'm still not good enough to beat Bolt." I said, "You're not fighting alone, I'm gonna fight with you." Amy said. "You're fighting too?" I asked, "I'm not gonna let you go and do something stupid." Amy said and smiled and me. "Don't worry yourself Ace, you weren't really that prepared for any other fight either." She said. "I must've been pretty reckless." I said laughing, "Yeah, but you always had a reason for doing something crazy." Amy said. "You should probably get some sleep." Amy said, "Yeah, thanks." I said and we walked in together.

The next morning everyone walked outside, some were going to fight Bolt and the others were going to watch. Sonic, Shadow, Silver, Skates, Amy and I were going to fight and the rest were going to watch, it was raining heavily as we walked out. "Amy if it get too dangerous get out of there." I said to her, "Don't worry about me Ace." Amy said smiling at me. I thought to myself 'I'm gonna make sure that smile doesn't fade away.' We all ran at a steady pace to where Bolt said he would be, while I was running I felt something in my pocket it felt like it was a small box, these were the close I was found in so I must have had a plan for it. I stopped thinking about it and continued running, when we got there it was a wasteland, there were a few hills and many craters spread out. "What happened here?" I asked, "This happened when you guys fought Dark Flame." Amy said. "Woah, is super form really that powerful." I asked, "This is nothing, you made a huge one around." Sonic said. "So you should up!" Someone called out from one of the hills, we all looked in the direction of the voice and saw voice standing on the hill, he was holding the golden staff he had last time and was now covered in black flames. "I should be thanking you Ace, since I absorbed your darkness I can now control fire, and with the power of Ix's staff, I'm more powerful than ever." Bolt said. "You think you can stop us. We have the Chaos Emeralds and that staff isn't that powerful."Sonic said, he sounded pretty confident, "Fine then, come at me!" Bolt shouted. Sonic then pulled the Chaos Emeralds out of a bag he was carrying, they began circling Sonic, Shadow, Silver and Skates. They continued to move at a faster pace then disappeaered, there were now a few differences in Sonic's, Shadow's, Silver's and Skates' appearance. Sonic, Shadow and Silver now had yellow quills that were flowing upward and Skates now had light blue quills that were flowing upwards and was surrounded by a ball of blue fire.

The four of them flew into the air and began fighting, they were all moving at incredible speeds I could barely keep my eyes on the fight. Then before I knew Silver was kicked to the ground, the impact created a small crater, "Silver!" Blaze screamed and ran to Silver's side. "Sorry, I guess I wasn't strong enough." He said and his quills went back to their normal colour. "That's it I can't just stand here and let them get hurt." I said and ran towards the fight, "Ace, wait!" Amy shouted out.

(Amy's POV)

I ran after Ace as he ran towards the fight, they four of them were now fighting in the sky, I didn't know how Ace planned to hit Bolt. Then, Sonic was hit to the ground near the others. Ace raised his hands above his head and large ball of fire began forming, the ball continued to grow bigger, but time was running out, the only one left fighting was Skates and he was losing, even without his restraining rings he was greatly out matched. Then, the worst thing happened, Skates was knocked out cold and hit the ground, "Take this!" Ace shouted and threw the ball of fire at Bolt. He moved in an instant and kicked Ace back, he was now lying on the ground on conscious. Then without thinking I ran at Bolt and punched him across the face, he didn't react at all to it and I quickly pulled my fist back. I felt fear wash over me, it was hopeless, no one could save, even Ace had been knocked out. "Looks like you'll die first." Bolt said, I closed my eyes and waited for death to take me, then.....nothing. Nothing happened, I opened my eyes and saw Ace holding Bolt back, "If you touch her, or I'll kill you." Ace said angrily. "Ace?" I asked, "Sorry, it took so long, but now you don't need to worry." Ace said, wait, did he mean what I think he meant?
