Chapter eleven: The Fight Continues
(Normal POV)
It was late in the afternoon, everyone had been asking about what happened between Ace and Amy, but to no avail. Neither of them looked at each other, Ace spent most of his time sitting outside and Amy spent most of her time on her room. "Amy you can spend your whole life in your room." Cream said, "Why not, I'm fine in here." Amy said, "No your not you ne-" Cream was cut off but Tails shouting, "I found one, it's on a far off island west of here!" Everyone rushed down to the basement, "We'll have to take the Tornado." Sonic said, "So who's going?" Tails asked, "I'll go." Ace and Amy said simultaneously, they looked at each other and then looked away. "Who else?" Tails asked, Sonic, Silver and Blaze volunteered as well, "You will need this." Tails said handing Sonic a small device. "It's a portable Emerald Radar." Tails said, The five of the them hopped into the Tornado, all except Ace who jumped on the wing.
"Do you see anything?" Sonic asked Ace, "I see water." He said, "Wait, there is something flying around above the water. "That thing has the emerald." Sonic said, Ace jumped off the plane and began falling in the direction of the thing that was flying above the water. "Is he trying to land on that thing?" Silver asked, "He's done it before." Amy said, Ace landed on the thing and got a better idea of what it was. It looked like a black dragon, it had blood red eyes and had a black gem in it's chest, the Emerald of Shadows. "Guys, I'll make it crash on the island!" Ace called out, "You guys land the plane!" Ace shouted. Ace grabbed one of the wings and began pulling it in the direction of a nearby island, both of them crashed in the sand by the water. "Gotta work on my landings." Ace said rubbing the back of his, then he got up and began shooting fire at the dragon, then the dragon looked up at the plane and began flying in that direction. Ace jumped up and grabbed its tail, "Hey, leave then alone!" Ace shouted, he began climbing up the dragon until he got to the wing. "Ace what are you doing?!" Amy asked, "Saving you!" Ace shouted, he grabbed the same wing and pulled him towards the water. "Guys we have to help him." Amy said, then Ace and the dragon fell into the water.
"Land this plane!" Amy said, after a few more seconds Sonic landed the plane, and Amy rushed into the water. She looked around but found no sign of him, "Ace!" She called out, then she saw something come out of the water. It began swimming in her direction she walked closer to see who it was, she saw a red hedgehog holding a black gem, he had cuts on his arms, legs and chest, "Ace!" Amy called out. He waved and continued moving towards her, after half a minute he made it to shore. He lay on the sand and closed his eyes, "Are you alright?" Amy asked, "Yeah, but I'm never doing that again." He said smirking, "Nice job there." Sonic said, "Yeah, you managed to beat it without using fire." Silver said. "Well done you've outdone yourself." Someone said from behind them, they turned around and saw the one they all hated most, Dark Flame
"Do you really have to show up everytime?" Ace asked, "Not happy to see me." Dark Flame, "No I'm bursting with joy." Ace said and got up. "Just hand over that Emerald of Shadows." Dark Flame, "How do you know about that?" Blaze asked, "I have existed since the beginning of this planet." Dark Flame said. "Now just hand it over and no one will die today." Dark Flame said, "Guys, get out of here, I'll handle this." Ace said, "Are you insane?" Amy asked. "Maybe, but no one here is going to get hurt except him." Ace said, he covered his hands in fire. Ace ran at him and punched him across the face, Dark Flame stumbled back a bit, "Is that it?" Dark Flame asked. He threw a ball of fire at Ace, but it hit something else, Amy jumped in front of blast and fell to the ground.
"Amy are you alright?" Ace asked, she was lying in his arms, "No, but you are." She said, Ace placed a hand on her forehead and her burns disappeared. Then he pulled out the Emerald of Shadows, "You want this?" Ace asked Dark Flame, "Go get it!" He shouted throwing it into the ocean. "Lets go." Ace said, he carried Amy to the Tornado, "Ace you know I can stand, right?" Amy asked, "Oh, right." Ace said and put her down. "Thanks, if it wasn't for you I might've been killed." Ace said, Amy hugged him tightly, "After all the times you risked your for me I thought it was time to return the favour." Amy said, "I don't get you guys." Sonic said. "You don't get most things until it is obvious." Silver said, "Hey!" Sonic shouted, "Well its true." Ace said. "Can we go home so we can treat Ace's cuts?" Amy asked, she was already sitting in the Tornado. "Ok, let's move out." Sonic said
