He needs a second, a chance to escape from the attacks. The roaring of a disapproval crowd and the relentless attacks are quickly becoming overwhelming.
He threw a canister at Todoroki's head just because, and he dodged the light chunk of metal with ease. It was a light lever 5 canister, but enough to distract and get another hit in.
Todoroki aimed in a circle, building up and around so Andy couldn't enter. It was quick, and very much temporary as Andy could easily break it down.
He panted, coughing up a storm as the cold air and smell of sugar crystal ate away at his lungs. The harsh chemicals burned like hell in the cold, and he could already tell that the hits he did get on Andy and the times he's slipped was taking a toll on his speed.
He stood there, catching his breath and waiting for Andy to attack again. Either way, it would be easy to defend against him when he eventually broke the ice.
But the thing is; its quiet. Not a single sound from Andy moving around outside. Then he noticed a small shift in the light. Although it was close in color at first, his ice was teel, not lime green.
He looked up cautiously, catching pink eyes staring straight into his. Andy was waiting for an opportunity to attack and catch his breath. He choked up, unable to move as he pulled out a canister.
"I would cover my nose if i were you" Andy taunted and threw down the last canister. It was silent as Todoroki could only cover his face in preparation.
BOOM!
The ice cleared out instantly as a gust of wind from the expanding chemicals threw everything around. Golden crystals flowed where ice was weak and missing. Half of the arena was now replaced in an instant by the sugar crystal.
Tw-Light Gore (small face cut)
Andy was flung back, only being able to stay in place thanks to his gloves. A piece of ice that had broken off cut into his face, making a small trickle of blood pour out.
Todoroki could only keep forming ice that was quickly destroyed in the explosion. The odor of the chemical crystals quickly started burning his nose. For Andy, it was just a sweet smell that fell to the back of his mind. After months straight of dealing with these chemicals; mixing, testing, and fighting with them, they didn't burn anymore.
The burst finally died down as everyone leaned in, hoping that Todoroki was still in the ring. The small amount of mist cleared up, showing that the match was still going on.
"CHEATER! JUST LOOSE ALREADY!"
"WHY IS HE SO HARD TO DEFEAT? JUST TAKE HIM OUT!"
People kept barking out.
They both stood staring at each other, waiting for another to move. Todoroki tried to not choke on the burning chemicals that filled the nearby air. Even near Midnight, she was covering her face slightly from the smell.
Andy touched the cut on his face after feeling the blood run down his face. A red stain formed on his glove when he removed it. All he could do was stare at it, then back at his opponent.
Neither could afford to lose and they both couldn't win. Their faces said it all, they didn't want to be in the fight. Both would rather fight an easier opponent than each other. It wasn't a fight that made any of them look good. Todoroki couldn't beat a quirkless kid, and Andy isn't as good as people think he is. It's a lose-lose fight, yet one still has to win.
