Sabotage

"So you're saying someone messed with the kids' support gear?" One of the teachers asked quite loudly.

"Yeah. He had a bottle cap inside. I watched him put it together myself and i didnt see it" Midnight placed the broken blasters on the table.

"Did he do it himself? Or maybe it got lodged inside by accident?" One of the teachers pulled the blasters closer to him.

"You said you found the bottle tab in here right?" A teacher with a giant metal jaw on his face points to the gear.

"Yeah"

"No way it got inside by accident. A bottle tab is too big to fit inside like that." He makes his hand into a circle around the size of a bottle cap.

"Was it another kid who could have done it then?"

"I think it was someone close to him. Doesn't the kid know Zero? Maybe he did it" Cementoss throws the blame on the vigilante.

"Zero is quirkless. And he seems to enjoy heroes too much to stop his friend from being a hero." Midnight defends the kid.

"Zero's quirkless?" He stops for a second to think about what he had just heard.

"Yeah. All the stuff he does is because of his gear" Eraser Head pulls out a can of Sugar Crystal from a bag next to him on the ground.

"Wait. The honey stuff wasn't from a quirk? I always thought he had some sort of bee quirk or something" He observes the canister.

"So you three know this kid?" The principal observes the blasters and the sugar crystal canisters.

"Yeah. He works at the cafe a couple streets down" Midnight points out the giant window in the direction to the cafe "He usually worked on the blaster there."

"So we all agree it was someone close to him and it can't be Zero?" Nezu looks back up.

"Yeah. The look on his face looked like pure betrayal" 

"If it was outside of the school and exam we can do. Does he know anybody who tested today?"

"I dont think so." 

"We can't really do anything for him. Maybe it was his family?" Nezu opened up a computer.

"His mom seems to be the only one who lives with him. Her quirk matches up" He turns the computer to show her image.

"So... his own mom sabotaged him? How sick do you have to be to do that to your own son?" President Mic looks at the blasters then up at the table

Everyone sat in silence at the moment till a loud voice spoke out again.

"Did you see this kids engineering though? He didn't even use any of the tools given other than a screwdriver and blow torch and he made a whole set of fire and water blasters. Did he do that just to flex on the other examinies or something?" President Mic tries to change the subject and lighten the mood.

"I've never really seen this kid use tools now that I think of it. " She picks up the chanisters and holds it up.'' These gave me so much anxiety when he made them."

"Wait, aren't those super pressured? Why didn't he use proper tools?" Cementoss looks at her concerningly as she holds it with confidence.

"Does he not have tools other than those two tools?" Nezu leans in further. "And he made a whole set of gear for a vigilante?" 

"Yeah. Kids are crazy when it comes to making gear. Started the blasters back in October last year or so."

"Honestly I would love to have Andromeda in my classes. I feel he's already proved himself and could make something life changing if he opens more of his imagination." Power Loader sits back in his chair.
