ZFriday after school was something he couldn't miss. Although he would have to go early, he was also curious about Andy's boots. They were made of a substance that had almost 100 percent bounce.
"Alright, Andy this is a clear straight path where you can reach top speed with little restrictions." The principal found himself with a rather excited smile.
Hound Dog stood just next to his side, eyeing Nezu in the process. Mr.Aizawa followed along with the concerned looks as he watched the boy stare down the faux city again. Snipe stood there too with his hands stuffed in his pocket.
Usually, Hound Dog never left his patrol of the walls other than for simple tasks and other necessary breaks. Why he was here to watch a student run and test out a pair of shoes was perplexing.
"When you hear the gun go off, begin to run as fast as you can." Mr.Aizawa held up a starter pistol and aimed it at the sky.
He observed Andy getting ready at the edge of the intersection. His shoes dug into the graveled roads as he stood on his toes and prepared for his departure.
The gun went off and rang across the faux city. Andy started with a slow running pace before it turned into a full sprint down the streets.
All of them never got to see him go full speed since turning down blocks and dodging takes away his speed. All he needed was a stretch of concrete he can unleash his full speed on.
What turned from 16kph quickly turned into 20, then 35, then 50. His speed exponentially grew until it peaked at 50 K/pH. The slow-moving cameras that recorded his movements swiveled quickly so they could follow. Each stride was 5 meters apart and pushed him further as he kept a consistent speed.
Andy's hair was pushed back and he could feel the burn the boots created when he ran. His shoes pushed his legs to the max right before the pressure could splinter his legs.
Soon a floral and sweet smell with the undertone of chemicals whipped past his nose. It was faint, but an obvious smell he could catch on any villain or civilian he passes.
Andy leaned back and used his right foot as a drag and his left as a steer. It made him grind to a halt and spew rubble in every direction.
"No way…" Hound Dog stared down the street at him turning back on his heels. The boy started searching for the smell once more, digging through the city smells of setting concrete to find it. The new concrete and smell of constantly repaired asphalt made it hard to locate anything until it picked up again.
He stopped dead in his tracks and scanned the streets. A ramp to the left leads into a brick building. A light post to the right with a crack in its bulb stood tall with the city.
Shinso looked back before running off to go fetch Andy. His curiosity will get him someday when it comes to his friend and his matching unusual actions.
"Why did you stop?" Shinso called out as he watched him investigate every crevice.
"I smell something…" Andy said with eyes laser-focused on the ground ahead of him and everywhere in between.
"What? That's seriously why you stopped?" He gestured to him frantically looking around.
"It smells like cocaine. Can't you smell it?" He started focusing on the ramp area and the rails specifically.
"No, I can't smell it, dumbass. That's why we use dogs to search for drugs." He raised a brow in disbelief. "Why do you even know what it smells like?"
"I've gone after one too many drug addicts. After a while, you begin to be able to tell the difference between what type they are using as well." Andy unscrewed the lid of a railing and opened it. A string was attached and a small resealable bag. A white rock with small white flakes stuck to the side of the bags.
