The next day, students were all gathered, including Teams RWBY, GRMA, JNPR, CFDT, and CFVY to watch the new students taking part in the initiation. Everyone sat down onto the bleachers as a large holographic screen appeared over the stage.
"I hope Azumi will do okay in the initiation," Kelly said.
"I'm sure she'll be fine, Kelly," Allen said.
"Honestly, I'm more worried about Oscar," Ruby said.
"I'm sure Oscar will be fine. Professor Ozpin trained him, remember?" Pyrrha asked.
"But, he does have the least combat experience," Britney said.
"Who knows? He could be like Jaune. He started off with little to no combat experience, but helped defeat the Death Stalker in Volume 1," Ricky said.
"Hopefully they can both find decent partners," Blake said.
"What about Emerald, Mercury, and Ilia?" Rebecca asked.
"They'll be fine. They have experience after all," Ren said.
"That hasn't stopped Hazel from worrying about Emerald and Mercury," Nora said.
"I can't blame him. He did lose his sister in a training accident under Professor Ozpin's care," Robert said.
"Like Ren said, Mercury and Emerald will be fine," Jacob said.
"That's right. They've clearly got this," Weiss said.
"No need to worry about them," Yang said.

Beacon Cliff
Meanwhile at the Beacon Cliff, a mug-holding Professor Ozpin and Glynda are standing in front of the new initiates, including Watson, Jesse, Jacket, Hera, Azumi, Oscar, Ilia, Emerald, and Mercury as they are all standing on the silver tiles.
Oscar now wears an olive coat with shoulder pads and a belt both of dark red. Underneath, he wears a white collared shirt and bandages wrapped around the neck. His gloves are a slightly open U-shape with black X-pattern wrist straps. He also wears black trousers and red boots colored orange at the toe.
"Some of you have been training for years to become warriors, while most of you had been training for months due to most of you being Terrans. But today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." Ozpin said.
"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of "teams." Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today," Glynda explained.
"I wonder who my partner is gonna be," Watson thought.
"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon, or at least until you choose to transfer to the new academies until they are finished with construction if you chose to do so. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well," Ozpin explained. "That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years. After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die."
Some of the students gave out surprised expressions on their faces.
"Die?" Jesse asked with wide eyes.
