Tommy

Even after the dreadful day yesterday was. Tommy woke up in a relatively good mood. He had been waking late in the day to catch the sunset. Watching it through the massive windows of his room. It helped to see the sprawling mansion with thick walls and high turrets. Sometimes he would catch a glimpse of Technoblade as he went out for his dusk patrol. His netherite sword would catch a glint of moonlight and shimmer with its enchantments.

Tommy also had his own clothes now. Practical and sturdy pants and a collection of red shirts in various styles because he made the mistake of mentioning once he liked to wear red.

Lacing up his boots he heard the sound of something sliding against the floor. Tommy looked around for what made that noise and spotted a bit of paper on the ground by the door. He picked it up with the intent of throwing it away when he saw it was an envelope.

Curious, he tore open the letter and saw a green smiley face. Tommy cursed and chucked the envelope across the room.

He half expected it to explode or something. Instead it innocently lay on the floor mocking him. Tommy closed his eyes and ran a hand through his hair. "It must be a prank, Dream doesn't know I am here, it must be-" He exhaled sharply, hurting his throat. "Jack doesn't like me much, it must be him."

Bracing himself Tommy cautiously picked up the letter. Unfolding the cream colored parchment he read out loud to himself.

"Tommy, you know me, and I know you. Don't ever forget that." Tommy swore under his breath and let the note flutter to the floor. He kicked it away with his boot and grasped the doorknob. Tommy flung open the door and ran.

"Phil!" he cried out, sprinting through the halls. Having memorized most of the manor by now Tommy was able to get to Phils office in record time. "Phil!" He burst into the room. "Phil! Dreams in the manor!"

The man immediately rose to his feet and drew his sword. "Where is he?"

"I don't know." Tommy huffed. "But he slipped a note through my door! He knows I'm here!"

"Impossible." Phil said. "There is just no way."

Tommy grabbed his arm and tugged him towards the door. "Come on, I'll show you!"

"Alright then." Phil moved to sheath his sword but Tommy urged him not to.

"He might be right out the door! He's coming for me!" Tommy Insisted.

Phil nodded and drew the sword moving carefully back to Tommy's room. Tommy stayed behind the man as protection since he didn't have a sword.

Despite Tommys panic they made it back to the room without seeing a hint of Dream. After ensuring Dream was not hiding in his bedroom Tommy looked for the letter.

"It was written in green ink! And it was like 'I know you Tommy' oh Phil! How did he figure out I was here!" Tommy panicked searching under his bed.

"I don't think he does." Phil reassured him. "Now where is the letter?"

"It was right here." Tommy persisted. "I dropped it but it should be here." After several more minutes of frantic searching Phil pressed a hand to his shoulder.

"Is It possible you only dreamed that he was here?" Phil asked gently. "You were very stressed yesterday so it makes sense."

"No I-" Tommy sat back on his heels. "There was a letter! I held it in my hands and it was real."
