"I would have expected you would come down to see me sooner." Sapnap drawled, looking over at Tommy with a bored expression.

Tommy did his best to match Sapnap's tone and body language like Wilbur told him to. But he couldn't help the way his leg bounces while he sat on the bench facing the metal bar window of the cell. "I was busy."

"Aw, too busy for a friend?" Sapnap pouted. "I thought friends were important to you, especially after Drista. But after what you did to Tubbo I am not surprised."

"Take her name out of your mouth." Tommy said heatedly. "You do not deserve to mourn her."

"She was my friend too." Sapnap said, the glowing in his eyes flickered for a moment before settling on a steady scarlet shine. "Remember how we all blew stuff up together? Good times."

"Oh shut up." Tommy said with an eye roll. "What happened to you? You weren't this annoying last time I saw you. Three months isn't that long."

"Who said you were exiled for three months?" Sapnap asked. "It could have been only one month, or two years. How would you know?"

"Because I'm not stupid." Tommy retorted.

"Aren't you?" Sapnap asked in a pitying tone. "Because things don't happen overnight. Maybe you were too busy messing around to notice it."

Unfortunately, there was some truth in what he said. Tommy never paid attention to politics. All he ever wanted to do was to have fun, and it almost got him, and the people he cared about killed. But he never learned.

"What does Dream want with me?" Tommy asked.

Sapnap carried on talking, ignoring the question. "It's funny, isn't it? The vote to exile you was unanimous. Nobody argued against it. Not even Hbomb, or Ainsley, Antfrost, Karl or even Tubbo. Why is that?"

That question had plagued plenty of sleepless nights and somehow Sapnap knew it. Did he know or did he guess? Did he know about all the times Tommy cried himself to sleep in pure loneliness in exile?

"I don't care." Tommy gritted out. "I don't need them. Or anyone else for that matter. I just want Dream to leave me alone, so what does he want?"

"What makes you think he wants something from you?" Sapnap scoffed. "Are you really that self centered? Dream is the most powerful man on this earth. What could a filthy half-blood like you possibly offer him?"

"Then did he send you?" Tommy pointed out. His non-existent patience was gone. "Why are you here?"

"Oh, Tommy." Sapnap sighed. Tommy swore to himself if the guy said his name in that condescending way one more time he'd knee him in the groin. "Don't you get it? Dream is playing with you, because he can. There is no end goal or secret plan. It's all just a game to him."

"No." Tommy said in disbelief. "Dream hates wasteful things. If I were no use to him he would kill me."

"Everyone needs a pet." Sapnap said with a shrug.

Tommy's face was burning. "You are a sick man Sapnap." He said in a low voice. "Just a sad little man. Dream does not control me and neither do you."

"Just wait until the Sleepy coven gets tired of you. You will be crawling back into our arms and realize how good you had it with us. "

"I slept in a crappy shack all by myself!" Tommy exclaimed. "I'm not treated like I am any less here."

"Compared to The Siren and The Blade?" Sapnap scoffed. "Anyone can look small."
