TommyTommy stumbled out of the portal, tripped over his feet and landed hard on the floor catching himself with his hands so his skull didn't bang on the concrete. The impact hurt his wrists but Tommy scrambled up and out of the way before someone stepped on him. Looking back and around Tommy saw he was in a large entry that looked rather familiar.
Technoblade stepped through the portal with Sam following him not long after. Tommy punched Technoblade in the arm, which probably hurt Tommy more than Techno.
"What was that?"
Technoblade ignored him.
"I don't have guest bedrooms or anything." Sam said apologetically. "But I was thinking I could set you up with some cots in the library. It's one of the warmest rooms in the house."
Technoblade nodded. "That sounds fine Sam."
"Great, I'll gather you guys some toiletries." Sam offered.
"That sounds good but I think there are more pressing issues at hand." Technoblade insisted. "Is there a place we can talk?"
Tommy frowned, he knew when he was being excluded. "But Technooooo"
Technoblade interrupted his complaining. "Let me handle the boring adult stuff and you go rest. You were complaining the whole walk here about how much your feet hurt."
"I'm fine!" Tommy protested. "And you weren't even home for two weeks! I can contribute all sorts of useful things."
Sam looked like he was going to agree with Tommy but Techno shook his head. "You can't fight me on this Tommy, go rest."
"Oh hell no."
Technoblade was not leaving him all alone in Sam's creepy manor. A man who lived by himself is guaranteed to have all sorts of creepy things.
Sam rested a hand on Tommy's shoulder and Tommy shrugged it off. "Come on Tommy, I'll show you the library. There are a lot of interesting reads."
"I hate reading." Tommy said not at all quietly as Sam led him away. He looked over his shoulder to send a glare at Technoblade as he walked.
Tommy held on to that shard of anger as he glared at the walls of the hallway Sam was leading him down. This was when he realized, "Did you build Sleepy Manor?" Tommy asked.
Sam smiled at him. "Of course I did."
Tommy could see the similar style albeit different material.
"And this." Sam said, pushing open large dark oak doors. "Is the library."
Tommy didn't read much but even he had to be awed by the large ornately decorated two story library. A stained glass window of a detailed castle with three turrets and gold roofs created the sky light that let a rainbow of light in.
"There is a reading nook to on the second story. That's where I will set up you and Technoblades cots later. But for now there are some bean bag chairs. Feel free to read anything you find interesting. I have a decent collection." Sam waived nonchalantly. He walked over to one shelf on the wall and knocked on a large red book. "But if I were you I would start with this one."
Sam left Tommy all alone in the library so large it would give anyone agoraphobia. Of course that didn't help the fear Tommy got from exile, isolophobia.
Tommy took a breath that wasn't too deep and did what he did best, distract. He could go find the reading nook Sam was talking about but Tommy was hesitant to move up stairs. He could do Sam's other suggestions and read.
