Phil

Phil thought it disappointing how much information got lost from generation to generation. In the days of old magic was as common as the dust in the fibers of the carpet beneath his feet. It was sad to see how desaturated magic had become. Phil had always made it a priority, Whenever Phil was with the other coven heads he urged them to do the same. This was met with mixed reactions.

So Phil found it rather ironic that Dream, an extremist in keeping magical purity alive, was so willing to spill the magic running through his coven's veins over a single child.

Phil looked out of the window. Dream, as far as he was on the ground, seemed to be staring straight at him. Phil was surprised he had the guts to stand in front of his armor clad army instead of cowering behind them.

Reckless you could say.

Unease twisted in his stomach, made Phil worry more than the thousands of vampires just past the tree line, more so than the catapults he could see. Dream wore no armor, and carried no weapon.

Dream was anything but reckless.

Dream was hard wired for strategy just as Technoblade was, but coupled with Wilburs boldness and silver tongue, it made him dangerous. Phil had learned the hard way not to overestimate him. Phil was worried that he had only gotten a glimpse of Dream's power and the only reason he got that much was because Dream allowed him to.

But you don't get to be this old whiteout knowing a thing or two.

Phil watched as a man in sunglasses and a crown presented a cloth to Dream. Eyeing him suspiciously Phil watched as Dream waved a white flag in the air.

Fundy

"Wait," Nikki exclaimed as Punz ushered them into the lower parts of the castle, the places were stone mixed with wood in the walls. "Where's Ranboo? And Tommy? Where is Tommy?"

Punz pushed her along. "Don't worry about them, Phil's got them. But we have to move before Phil needs to start worrying about us too." He pointed to Purpled. "Watch the rear, make sure nobody gets left behind."

Purpled nodded and Punz made to lead the way. But in the name of stalling so the Dream SMP might have the opportunity to capture them, Fundy took Nikki's side. "How do we know for sure Phil has the kids? What if they got snatched and we didn't notice?"

Nikki let out a distressed gasp and pressed a hand over her chest, perhaps her sire instincts were acting up at the thought of Ranboo being in danger.

"Ranboo can teleport now in a hurry!" Punz urged.

He set a quick pace down the halls and the rest had no choice but to follow and be left behind. Fundy wondered if Punz had gone out of his way to memorize the layout of the manor. Because despite him only being here a short while he moved about with ease, herding them all into the portal room.

The sleepy coven had two portals, an unlit end portal and a-

"Why isn't the nether portal lit?" Jack asked, reaching his hand through the empty frame. "It's always lit! I know because it's always so loud whenever I come down here to do the laundry."

"Are you sure there isn't a button?" Punz asked. "This one perhaps?" He flicked a lever and the lights went out.

Everyone either screamed or shouted in surprise, already being on edge. The sound of scraping echoed in the room.

"What's going on?" Nikki panicked.

"Punz, turn on the lights!" Jack shouted.

Someone bumped into Fundy and he almost lost his balance. Something thud to the floor. In the center of the room Punz lit a torch. the red-orange flames illuminated his white mask with gold accents. "Nobody panic, we have this all under control."
