Ranboo

Ranboo wondered if people genuinely forgot he was there in the room with them sometimes.

Logically, it didn't make sense.

Visually, Ranboo knew black and white were not known for being the easiest contrast on the eyes. He was not exactly small and tucked away either. More like gangly and awkward.

In addition, Ranboo was not exactly quiet. He sometimes couldn't help an unearthly gurgle or a low buzz. Ranboo always made comments on the conversations going on around him. He just had to. But maybe he had one of those voices that did not compel the crowd to listen to him. Technoblade with his internally monotone voice had more of a presence in the room than he ever did.

Ranboo wondered if it was because of these reasons, and more people tended to think he didn't have an opinion, that he was just a yes man.

It did not matter if Wilbur and Tommy were talking so quietly that Ranboo couldn't hear a thing. Maybe his ears were still recovering from the explosion. Ranboo could see the looks on their faces and had several guesses of what was being said. He certainly saw the after effects.

Wilbur splashed a potion of weakness over Tommy and gently lowered him to the floor. "I need you to get him out of here. Get him to the safe house with the others." With that, Wilbur turned like he was just going to leave.

"What about you?" Ranboo asked. Because what else could he say? Wilbur literally just sedated Tommy because Tommy wasn't listening to him.

Wilbur had a chaotic smile flit across his lips. "I'm going after Sapnap."

Ranboo thought of all the things he wanted to say as Wilbur walked away. Like a coward, Wilbur walked away from his problems, leaving it on Ranboo's doorstep. Ranboo sank to his knees, feeling this overwhelming sense of loss mixed with pure exhaustion. His coven was falling apart at the seams and Ranboo could feel the uncertainty that brought coat his bones. Ranboo didn't know what the heck to do.

Pulling on that anger he felt on Tommy's behalf, Ranboo scooped Tommy up in his arms. He tucked Tommy's head securely and marched back towards the basement, for two reasons. One, if Ranboo could find a swiftness potion, perhaps he could accelerate the rate at which the weakness potion was working through Tommy's system and Technoblade always had a stockpile of potions. And two, that was the last place they saw Sapnap.

Ranboo decided he couldn't let Wilbur get to Sapnap first. Sapnap was insane, watching him in prison made that much clear. A man who wasn't all there and consciously incharge of his actions did not deserve to die. For all they knew Sapnap could have schizophrenia or Bipolar disorder or something.

He at least deserved a trial and not Wilbur simply slaughtering him because he felt like it.

Wilbur

Wilbur had the biggest dumbest grin on his face as he walked away from Ranboo and Tommy. For weeks he had dreamed of this.

The way Tommy argued less and whined more. Whining being the way Tommy gave into his instincts since he refused to let himself chirp or purr. The way his emotions flip flopped all over the place being soothed easily by Wilbur's touch.

It was absolutely adorable.

Wilbur had suspected but this sealed the deal.

Wilbur and Tommy had a full conversation though The Cling.

Wilbur had not recognized it for what it was at first. Just instinctively replying. Phil had always talked about The Cling, the sacred telepathic bond created by the fledgling to their sire. It didn't matter that Tommy wasn't technically a fledgling yet because Wilbur had not claimed him.
