TommyTommy was not acting impulsively. This had been a long time coming and Tommy had only been acting on borrowed time. He and everyone else knew this. He rubbed his eyes and rummaged through Technoblade's chests. Since he knew the man was with Wilbur, that meant his basement bedroom was empty. Tommy knew for a fact that he had all sorts of goodies that would help him alot as he made this way through the world.
Perhaps he could find a nice human family to take him in.
Coven-Safe-Home
Tommy closed his eyes and tried hard as he could. No more families. He had had enough tries on that route already. Nothing good ever came of it.
Tommy gathered golden apples and stashed them in the hunting bag he found in Technoblade's closet. In the side pocket, he stashed a sturdy looking knife, and in the other a sack of ender pearls.
Coven-Happy-Good
That was not true either, Tommy realized painfully. There was a reason he hadn't tried to leave before. Everyone was so nice to him he could not understand it. Tommy was not only tolerated, but he felt wanted. Even after all his lies were spread on the table, they did not hate him for it. They did not hate him for his human side like they should.
Tommy took an apple and threw it as hard as he could against the wall with a yell. It burst into several golden pieces and made a small stain on the wall. "Why did you have to make this so hard!" he screamed at the painting of Techno, Wilbur, and Phil hanging on the wall. It would have been so much easier. But they had to go ahead and ruin everything.
Tommy laced his arms through the straps on the pack and stood. With one last look at Technoblade's armory of a room he left.
"Tommy?"
He froze.
Ranboo set a crate down on the floor. "Why were you in Technoblade's room?"
Tommy's brain scrambled for a lie. But with all the emotional crap he had been processing he was a bit slow.
Ranboo's eyes flickered to his backpack then narrowed. "Are you trying to run away?"
"Um, no?" Tommy said, wincing when his voice cracked at the end.
Ranboo just shook his head and sighed. "I was wondering when this would happen."
Tommy furrowed his eyebrows. "You expected me to run away?"
"Sure, you have that look. And you are a lot like Wilbur and Technoblade. Plus I tried to run away last year so I get it." Ranboo replied. He shook out his hands before lifting the heavy crate. "I would say good luck but we both know you probably aren't going to get very far."
"Wait." Tommy stopped him. "Why did you run away?"
Ranboo put the crate back down. "Me?"
"Yeh."
"Oh. mostly a case of imposter syndrome. And all the pure bloodists threatened to not go to the winter gathering because of me." Ranboo gestured to himself.
Tommy did not understand."Why would you stop them from going?"
"Because enderman blood is more dominant than vampire blood." Ranboo made a little gurgle sound like he did sometimes. "Even though Nikki claimed me, and I am now a true vampire, I am still very hybrid looking. Not what a vampire is supposed to look like." Ranoo chuckled. "Imagine what I looked like before I got claimed. A lot of people told me to go back to the mob spawner. So I ran away to make it easier on them. Or at least that is what I told myself."
