Ranpo hummed himself a song while solving a sudoku puzzle, he grinned as he scribbled on the last number and threw the pen away. "Ha! Easy! The teacher needs to try harder at making these to truly impress me!" he yelled happily, jumping off his bed and stretching, although it was easy, it took some time of course. Poe knocked on the door, "Ranpo-san? You're finished with the homework?" The tiny genius opened the door and grinned, "Why of course! I even finished the bonus sudoku puzzle we were given! So, what's up?" He watched his boyfriend shake his head, walking in and picking up his partner, Ranpo raised a brow before wrapping his legs around the other's waist, "you okay?"

"No, no I am not okay at all...my mother has been constantly bothering me for the last few months and it's getting so stressful!" Poe cried out as he sat on the bed, burying his face into his boyfriend's shoulder, Ranpo sighed, running his fingers through the other's hair. "We can't do anything about that sadly dear, well unless you want me to get Dazai and tell Chuuya to beat her up?" Poe laughed, "That's gender violence my dear Ranpo," the other scoffed, "Yosano then." A chuckle was heard before a long, depressed sigh, "I wish she could understand that girls that look like they came from a Doll School aren't my type, even so...I wouldn't trade the doll I have for anything else~" Poe smirked as he locked eyes with Ranpo. "I- I oh wow! I'm blessed! Haha!" the emerald-eyed student laughed, "and you are too, remember that!" Poe nodded before omce again burying his head into Ranpo's shoulder, "I still remember when you gave them all a heart attack, do you?" Ranpo nodded, "Oh how could I forget~"

Few months prior-

Ranpo skipped happily as he made his way to his house, he texted the location to Poe's phone prior to the arrival of that stupid girl's family. Karl was snoring peacefully as the genius stopped in front of the Student Council Member's Houses; the place where every Student Council member stays, each have their own two story houses and a front and backyard, royalty to be honest. He gave the guard his ID and showed him a picture of Poe, "This is my boyfriend, ok? Let him in once you see him, don't ask questions," he ordered, the guard nodded and Ranpo skipped in.

Meanwhile, Poe was listening to his mother yell at him, ranting about how disgraceful and disgusting he was for liking boys. His father was wiping his glasses, looking absolutely unbothered by the fact that there was a crying girl in front of him, two furious mums and a careless dad.

"Please Edgar! Don't you dare become like your father!" his mum shrieked, shocking everyone in the room, his father's eyes widened before he sighed, "And I thought you said not to bring it up." Now Poe was confused, the other family were obviously on the same page as him, "Wait what?" His mother's eyes welled up with tears, "Please, Edgar, don't become like him...you're going to live a miserable life..." The brunette scoffed, "What about father? He isn't relevant in this conversation mother!" The girl who he deemed ridiculous stood up, "Please Edgar! Please be my spouse!" Now Poe was angry, he called a servant, "Get these ridiculous people out of here, we don't need them here anymore," he growled, the servant nodded and called the guards.

"Now Mother. What are you saying? What about father are you fussing about?" he took his mother's shoulders and shook them, making her look at him, "explain." His father let out a long sigh, "Francis, I need you," soon, his father's personal butler walked in, "Yes sir?" His mother whirled around, "NO! We do not! And I say NOT bring in your stupid fiancee into this! I married you David for a reason! I told me you loved me!" she sobbed, Poe easily snapped the two pieces together but remained silent. "Okay, first of all, Eliza, you forced your parents to arrange our marriage, I didn't even know you existed until the wedding day! I never told you I loved you, I told you that there was someone else I loved, but you refused, as always to believe it," his father shook his head. The butler who now Poe knows as Francis and his father's apparent fiancee watched the scene play out as he coughed, "What am I supposed to say?" Poe's father frowned, "Nothing, I have merely only spoken the apparent truth, we do not need to talk any further about this, Edgar, meet me in the study. Eliza, stop your sarcastic sobs and leave my sight." His mother gritted her teeth, balled her fist and stood up, facing her 'husband', "You all deserve to rot in hell, where you all were created!" she screamed before running up the stairs and into her room.

Poe looked at his father before gulping, "You're gay?...And you're getting married to Francis?" His father nodded, "Your mother said it was better to hide it, but she let her emotions and anger control her." Francis sighed, "What will happen now David? Eliza is everything but happy," Poe furrowed his eyebrows, "I'm staying at Ranpo's house for a while if you don't mind. This is too much for me to handle I'm sorry..." His father shook his head, "I agree, and I approve of your relationship, please, invite him over another time, now go! He must be waiting for you!"

Poe nodded, as he rushed out of the house, only having a millisecond to grab his coat before he sprinted down the street, taking his phone out to see the location that Ranpo had texted him prior to the massive event that just happened. He finally stopped in front of a long, golden gate, the academy logo printed on the center of the gate, the entire place was surrounded by the same golden fencing, but with so many guards. Poe found the guard station, he walked up to the one on duty, "Oh, are you Edgar Allan Poe?" the guard asked, Poe reluctantly nodded, confused on how he knew his name. The guard nodded to another one and the gates opened, wide and broad into the compound, "Here you are, a map of the whole place, the President of the Student Council lives down at the end, don't get lost!" the guard smiled as Poe thanked him.

It was very overwhelming as Poe walked the seemingly silent street, every house was huge, two stories and each having a back and front yard, each had a lovely white fence surrounding it, well until he was met with the Head of The Student Council ones. Their houses were massive, they looked like Poe's mansion but a tad bit smaller, the Secretary, Treasurer, Messenger and Vice President and President all lived in these houses. This entire compound or neighborhood was for the Student Council, he realized that the similar ones for the members that weren't as high position as the other 5. Shaking the daze off, he walked all the way to the last house, figuring that it was Ranpo's, especially after seeing the shoes.

He knocked, and the door swung open, and there was Ranpo, grinning very happily. "Poe! There you are! I thought you had forgotten!" he whined before collapsing into Poe's arms, "I missed you!" Poe laughed as he looked inside his boyfriend's home, it was a wonderful shade of white and brown, there was also a young woman seated at the couch. "Who's that on the couch?" the taller asked, Ranpo looked behind him, "Oh that's Yosano, the Head Student Nurse, she lives a few houses down. But she's a good friend of mine and she's hanging out here." Poe nodded as he walked in, taking off his shoes and making his way to the living room with his small boyfriend; Yosano grinned as she saw them, "Oya?? Ranpo is this Poe? My my, you two have a very cute height difference!" she remarked. Ranpo huffed, "That's your queue to leave now Yosano!" The female laughed as she stood up, "Oh fine, see you, and see you too Poe, make sure to keep this uncontrollable boy in check huh?" she winked before grabbing her jacket and shutting the door.

"Poe! I love you!" Ranpo smiled as he kissed Poe on the cheek, Poe returned it as a peck on the lips, "Same Ranpo, same."

Present-

Now, Ranpo was cuddling with Poe on their King sized bed in Ranpo's house. Poe's father had already gotten married with Francis, but his mother was desperate to make Poe not be gay, and she's still trying. "Forget about her Dear...she'll grow tired, I know she will," Ranpo grinned, kissing Poe. The taller smiled, "Yes, she will...you know she will heh."
