Jin tucked the necklace under her shirt. When he asked her why, she replied simply, "so I can keep you close to my heart."
He smiled, liking the answer and took her hand in his. Jay lead Jin downstairs and continued holding her hand, as he looked for Cha Cha. When she grew conscious of eyes on them, she let go. But he wasn't letting her out of his sight and put an arm around her shoulders.
"Hey man, some of the guys want to know if you're going to be at R16 in Korea this year."
"You mean performing or competing?"
"Either or both."
Jay shrugged, but asked his own question instead of answering his friend. "Are you going?"
"Probably," Cha Cha answered.
"Jin's going with her brother's crew and Sunny," Jay added.
"It's something every b-boy and b-girl should experience at least once in their life."
"I'm excited, but I have to learn their choreography and fix what I failed at today," Jin said.
Cha Cha nodded, "you over thought things and psyched yourself out. But Jay told me you just learned recently how to do some of the power tricks. Sunny mentioned it was also your first time competing in front of a big crowd. Perfection only comes with experience, so don't be too hard on yourself."
"Thanks, I appreciate that." Jin smiled warmly.
"Hey you don't mind if we crash here tonight, right?" Jay asked.
"The room at the top of the stairs, first door to the right has your name on it," Cha Cha confirmed.
Sunny and Mike came by them right at that moment. "So does the bed."
Jin blushed beet red and wished she had left her hair down as Jay had requested. Had her hair been loose, she could've dipped her head to hide her embarrassment. Then feeling the necklace charm against her chest, Jin added, "I needed to let Jay know how much he's been missed."
Cha Cha bumped knuckles with Jay and nodded knowingly at him. "I like your style Jin."
"So I guess we'll have to see if your brother will give us a ride back," Sunny said.
"Where is the crew?" Jin asked looking around.
"Ella is fighting with Stone for talking to one of the girls from Sexy Chocolate. Chris is dancing with the Chicas and the other guys are somewhere here," Mike explained.
"Some things never change," Jin sighed. "Sunny want to dance?"
