What Happened...

Matt's POV
I'm sitting on a chair in the lounge going through a newspaper. After a while, Boden appears, seemingly happy.

Boden :I just got call from Med. Christopher Herrmann has woken up and I thought we could pay a visit.

My eyes light up from that sentence and we all hurry to the trucks to got to Med.

Once we get there, we get in the building and we see the doctor.

Boden : Halstead.

Halstead: Boden

Boden: How's Herrmann?

Halstead: He's awake. He also asked me to speak to you and Matt.

I look at Boden and then we both head to the upper floor where Herrmann's room is.

We get inside and we see him looking at the TV. Once he sees us he smiles and turns off the TV.

Herrmann: Heyy, how's it going?

Boden : Good, how are you?

Herrmann:Ehh I'm getting better.

Matt : You wanted to talk to us?

Herrmann: Oh yeah, how's Alexa?

I look at Boden and then lower my head.

Boden : I guess she wasn't the one who hurt you right?

Herrmann:What? No! Actually she was holding the knife but she didn't intend to hit me with it. A guy appeared and he attacked her and she fell on me with the knife on her hand while she was trying to help me.

Matt: We should better call the police. Let them know what really happened.

Boden leaves the room as he grabs his phone.

Herrmann:Why? What happened while i was unconsious?

Matt : After the attack, everyone assumed that she was planning on hurting you and everyone came after her and her friends. The police got her but then they lied to us that she escaped but what really happened is that they took her somewhere and no one knows where. And now the men who caught her, are on the run for a while, after we showed everyone the real video where they take Alexa away.

Herrmann: Oh my... I lost a lot didn't I?

I nod and lower my head. A while later, Boden walks in with Antonio and Jay Halstead. I leave the room while Herrmann is telling to the two detectives what really happened.

Everyone from the fire station as I walk back to the lobby, waiting for me to say something.

Matt: The police is now with Herrmann to hear his point of view of the incident. After he told me what happened,... I can tell, Alexa's innocent.

They all smile and Gabby comes to hug me. Once we separate she looks at me and smiles.

Gabby: Now she can come back to her family.

I smile back as I can dream of that moment.

Three days have passed and we're all at the fire station except Herrmann who is still at Med. We are all ready to eat, but Antonio walks through the doors in a hurry.

Antonio: Matt...

Matt: Antonio? What is it?

Antonio: I heard from LAPD that Alexa's friends at back but not Alexa. No one has seen her since the police caught her.

Matt: And what does that mean?

Antonio: That we have to assume the worst. Sorry to tell you, but we'll find her. I got to go back to the station. I wish I could stay and tell you more about this but I have to go.

Matt:I understand. Go.

Antonio leaves and I sit on a chair thinking.

A few hours later, Mouch calls all of us at the lounge to see something on the TV.

Reporter :Earlier this day, we got news from the police about Alexa Marshall. A 21 year old girl who was accused for the attack to a firefighter but turns out she is innocent after the firefighter gained his consciousness and spoke the truth. The police after more investigation of where Alexa could be, and since she hasn't shown a sign somewhere, they came to the conclusion that she's missing.

A photo of Alexa appears on the screen and her personal data.

Reporter: Whoever sees this girl has to call the police immediately. Her life could be in danger.

Meanwhile,
miles away from there

Mia's POV
I turn off the TV as I hear the reporter's news. We came back from Brazil and Alexa was nowhere to be found. I am worried she's in trouble.

I look at Dom who walks through the living room and up the stairs.

Mia: Dom.

He turns and looks at me.

Mia: Alexa is missing.

He frowns at the hearing of my sentence.

Dom: What do you mean?

Mia: I'm saying that she could be in danger. I saw it on the news. Someone might have kidnapped her, or even worse.. Oh my. We have to get to Chicago immediately.

He looks at me thinking.

Dom: Let's go pack our bags.
