"Did someone order pizza?"
They all turned towards the road confused, quickly distracted from filling the trunk of the car by the sound of a car, no, a pizza van, barreling down the road towards the wheeler house.
The van honked its horn as it pulled up to the Wheelers driveway, stopping abruptly.
Steves initial confusion was soon replaced with a sweet sense of relief when he saw who piled out of the van. The passenger door opened and out walked someone Steve didn't recognize, with long, dark hair and very colorful clothing. The back doors slid open, and out clambered Mike, El and Will. Steve smiled; he was glad to see them safe. Will locked eyes with him and slightly nodded his head to the side, confused, Steve followed his nod, only for his smile to grow bigger.
"Jonathan.."
"Steve.." Jonathan said, pushing past Mike and the guy with long hair to reach him.
They pulled each-other into a tight hug, Jonathan stuffing his face into the crook of Steve's neck.
"Im so glad you're okay, we tried calling you guys but you didn't pick up.. I-" Steve took Jonathan face into his hands, "I thought you were-"
"I know." Jonathan cut him off, "Im sorry, we couldn't risk contact."
"Risk contact?" Steve stared at Jonathan with confusion, taking in how much more exhausted he seemed compared to his normal sleepy look.
"It's a long story, i'm just so happy your safe.. I was so worried, El, she said you guys were in danger and for a second.. for a second I thought..."
"Hey, it's okay now, you're here, im here, we're together again.. it's gonna be okay, alright?"
Jonathan nodded as Steve pressed a kiss to his forehead and pulled him into another hug.
