Winter Is Coming

Y/n was torn.

Her mind was rushing back and forth between her two realities: Jungkook and Jimin. She had her head pressed against the pillow, snow tapping against her window. Winter was coming. In two weeks, winter break would come, meaning she'd leave school for a month and a half. She had no final exams thanks to her major. She had final projects, but no exams. That meant she could finish everything early and not have to worry about studying. However, her mind was elsewhere.

After Jimin showed her his scars and cried in her arms, she hadn't been able to see him the same. It wasn't because she judged him, it was because she just wanted to see him smile. A real smile, not one forced by misery. If only there was a way to bring it out of him. What could she do? She was useless. As always. When would she ever not be?

Azazel purred and nuzzled against her chest. Amon was gone, reunited with Jimin. Azazel missed him but didn't admit it. Y/n could tell. The bat wouldn't leave her side for any reason. Even when she went to take a shower, he'd sit on the sink and cover his eyes with his wings until she was finished. It was a miracle her roommates hadn't noticed yet.

"Bud, we have to get moving eventually. I have a project to do for acting," she whispered, but Azazel snuggled closer. She sighed and got up anyway, the bat clinging to her shirt and refusing to part from the fabric. She moved to her desk, opening her notebook to see the notes she took for her project. Final projects were annoying since they required more time and energy than studying. Especially when the project was filming. The idea of filming herself performing a monologue didn't appeal to her, but it wasn't like she had a choice. The perks of being an acting major, huh?

However, before she could review her script, she heard a loud 'thunk' against her window. She perked her head up, Azazel squawking and hiding inside her shirt. He nuzzled with her skin, Y/n sighing and patting his head to calm him down. It was probably just a bird. After all, she was on the ground floor. Dumb birds could fly into it-

'Thunk!'

Y/n marched over to her window and opened the blinds, seeing Kim Seokjin outside and waving to her, a half-made snowball in his free hand. Although she didn't particularly want to, she waved back. At her head tilt, he beckoned for her to go outside. Great. Step outside into the cold.

With a groan, Y/n got changed into the warmest clothes she owned. She put on a cow onesie and leggings and a hoodie over it, hiding the black and white pattern but not the cow-shaped hood that awkwardly pressed against her hoodie. Azazel stayed underneath her clothes, not bothering to peek his head out like he normally did. After taking one final breath, she departed her apartment and met with Jin out back. The snow tapped against her, but it wasn't intense enough that she felt cold. Her gloved hands were trembling. Luckily, that was the worst of it.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, Azazel squeaking in agreement.

"You need training still, don't you?"

"Sure, but not in the middle of the damn winter outside. If we're training, then take me to Breylin."

"Breylin's compromised. Jimin and Jungkook talked but it went no where." Ah, that would explain drunk Jimin then. "The compound is dangerous since we don't know who's in the rebellion and who's not. I tried being as stealthy as I could, but it's still possible someone followed me here. I need to get you to safety."

"I live here, am I supposed to drop everything and come live with someone else?"

"Yeah actually. Me."

"You're insane-"

"Namjoon will be there."

"Shit, that's all you had to say," she said, Jin glaring.
