"Can I be honest?"

Jungkook didn't want to answer. He wanted to keep moving and get ready to go. The protest was happening a day from now. Six days after Jin's death and the prison break, Jungkook put together Namjoon's plan. It was to rally vampires from around the world and put pressure on the world leaders, drawing them out. Namjoon wanted the White House to be more vulnerable. He wanted security to be more focused on the vampires outside than the ones within. That meant he'd be at the White House the day of the protest, letting the vampires pressure D.C. while he slipped inside. With his enchantments, he could go anywhere he wanted.

There were blueprints to the White House in Jungkook's grasp. He booked a plane ticket to go find Namjoon and stop him before he could take out the president of the United States. Meanwhile, Jimin would stay here and spearhead Breylin. Y/n would go with Jungkook despite how he didn't want her too, but she was immune to Namjoon's mental attacks. She was the only one who could save him if things went awry. She agreed to the plan, but otherwise, they hadn't talked much. For the last six days, she had been training in Breylin by herself. Using his powers, he'd watch from the shadows. It broke his heart each time.

"I don't know, I'm not really in the mood for brutal honesty right now," Jungkook replied as he stood by the mouth of Breylin. He could see the moonlight. Unlike most other times, there weren't any reporters outside. They were giving up on getting answers from Breylin. He was sure photographers were still hiding in the shadows. His guards informed him many had tried to break in, but at least they were being stealthy about it now.

Jimin came closer and halted by Jungkook's side. Neither of them moved to gaze at one another. Jungkook watched as drops of rain touched the outside ground he was inches away from. His hand moved, skimming by the liquid until his tattoos were coated in the substance falling from the sky.

"We're not wrong. Namjoon, you, me. None of us are wrong," Jimin said, putting his hands in his pockets. "In theory, all our ideas can work. If we spent as much time forming the vampire world as we did fighting, maybe things would be different. I'm sorry I've been such an asshole. This whole time I thought my way was the only way. I was no better than you. Whether I really was wrong or right doesn't matter. I'm just as much to blame for this as you, Namjoon, and the rest of the vampire world. I'm sorry, Jungkook."

Jungkook let a single tear trail down his cheek. "We have a lot of power, Jimin. Yet time travel isn't in our powers. There's nothing we can do to change the past. You can't change how shitty you were, and neither can I. The best we can do is live in the present for the sake of the future."

Jimin turned his head toward Jungkook, but he didn't reply otherwise. His thigh was healing nicely. Jimin could sprint now. Jungkook was in a similar condition thanks to how much feeding he did. He was back to full speed, and after the prison, he trained as much as he could. Not only to get his mind off Jin, but also to try and forget Yoongi.

Yoongi was his best friend. The one who raised him into the vampire world. Jungkook had no idea where Yoongi was, or if there was a way to get him back. It felt as though Jungkook was losing everyone he loved. Yet, it felt deserved. Jungkook was a dictator with no regards to how his people felt. He terrorized his workers, wanted Y/n's blood without considering who she was as a person, and created a monster named Park Jimin. Jungkook's friends didn't deserve to suffer for his actions. It wasn't right.

"I'm sorry too," Jungkook whispered. "Remember the beginning of Breylin?"

"You mean the very beginning? Before I turned sides?" Jungkook nodded. "How could I forget? You sent me to an enemy compound by myself and used my immunity to sound to slaughter the entire place."
