Chapter 2: A new life

Three Years Later

Jessica was saying goodbye to her parents before her big move to Hawaii. Her late husbands parents were there too saying goodbye to their grandaughter, Sarah.

" I wish you wouldn't move so far away from us." Her mother said with tears in her eyes.

" Im sorry mom, I just need a fresh start and my work has lead me to the islands, I have recieved such a huge opportunity that I really can not say no to." Deep down her mother knew that but it was so hard for her to see her youngest child and her only grandchild leave. "Plus it gives you an reason to make it to Hawaii before you die."

She knew it was always her mothers dream to go to Hawaii and she knew that should could get her mother there and it wouldn't cost more than a plane ticket. Her mother smiled at her.

" I will call you when we get there and are seteled, my car should have made it there by now and Amanda is going to pick it up for me and leave it at the airport" Amanda was her best friend who was going to Hawaii for her second honeymoon the timing could not have been more perfect. She gave everyone hugs and then looked at Sarah.

"Are you ready to go sweet heart, time for a new adventure." Sarah nodded to her and they waved a final goodbbye then headed for the plane.

What felt like a lifetime they finally landed in Hawaii. Jessica was so happy to finally be on the ground agian. She looked over at her daughter who was smiling from ear to ear.

"Are you happy we made it hun," Jessica said, Sarah just turned and with the biggest smile nodded her head and bounced up and down in her seat, " Soon, we will be in our new home, i've already seen it you will love it hunny"

Jessica gathered up everything and then got off the plane, made her way to the baggage claim to get all the luggage, she grabbed her phone to call Amanda to figure out where her car was but before she could unlock the phone she felt a tap on her shoulder, it was Amanda.

"Hey girl, what are you doing here, you were just suppose to drop the car in the short term parking."

" I know," Amanda said giving Jessica a hug, "But I just wanted to say hi, we are leaving to go back to the other island in a couple of hours so we had some time to say hi."

" Oh my goodness that is great, I wish you had some more time I could take you to the house I bought, but maybe another time, when do you guys leave?"

"We leave in 5 days," said Amanda's husband David, "We can see if we have some time to come back, it is not too bad to come over here"

"OK we have to go catch our flight but it was great to see you both, good luck, if you need anything just give me a call " Amanda said.

"We will, thank you so much guys I really appreciate it, well go enjoy your honeymoon, I will be talking to you,"

They said their goodbyes then Jessica grabed the luggage and went to get the car. They drove for a little while until they reached their new home, on a quiet street it was a beautiful single story home with 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. This was Jessicas first home that she has owned. She smiled as she walked up to the front door, grabbed her key and walked inside, ,this was the start of a new begining for her and her daughter she did not know where it was going to lead but, she was ready for the journey.
