Chapter 24

Cain Pov 

I was bit surprised when Alex, Lucas and Dylan came into the cafe'. "Hey Cain," Alex gave me a hug. 

I still had my gown on. As a patient it's a rule here. 

I decided to hug back. I missed him. And not since yesterday but 3 months ago. "Hello," I touch his face, "how you been?" 

"Been alright. Dylan and Lucas are here too." I knew that. I just wanted to greet him first. 

I let go off his face and look over at Lucas and Dylan who were standing at my table across from me, "Hello Dylan," I look away when I said, "and hello Lucas." Dylan nods at me with a small smile and Lucas waves at me. All three sat down next to me. 

"Hey Cain what up with the wheel chair?" Lucas wondered. 

"I lost some of my muscles in my legs and I also get dizzy when I stand up so the nurse told me to use a wheel chair till I get better." 

"Ah I see." 

Alex got up from his chair and whispered in my ear, "Would you like me to give you a hand?" 

"With what?" Dylan looks up from the menu he is reading. I'm glad that he wants to eat. 

"With this?" Alex holds a hand out too me. I didn't know what he meant by this. "give me your arm?" 

I gave him my arm with suspicion. He took it and then says, "Try to stand. I will hold on too you?" 

"Why? Are you uncomfortable with me being in a wheel chair?" 

"No. If you need it then you need it. I just was wondering if you want to take a break from sitting in it?"  

I look at Dylan and Lucas for a sec who were looking at us going like what the heck? Dylan knows about me and Alex. 

I think different of Alex since he told me he loves me. I look over at Alex and nodded my head in response. I slowly got up. When I tried to put weight on my foot my footing became weak and I start falling. But Alex was there to catch me in his arms.
