I met up with Kyler after school. I park the car next to his work. Kyler was waiting for me outside smoking a cigarette. "I didn't know you smoked?"

He looks at me, "There are a lot of things you don't know about me yet you still do things with me?" he offered me one.

I shook my head, "You ready?"

He nods and drops the cigarette on the sidewalk, getting in the car. I but my seat belt on and seeing that Kyler has his seat belt on we were off to the party. On the way there I asked him how work was.

"It was ok I guess."

That didn't seem positive but I just left it like that. "I see."

It took ten minutes to the party. It was a big house. 'Wonder who lives there?' Kyler led me to the door as he rang the door bell. Two guys answer the door, "Oh Kyler man glad you can come to my party!" he hugs Kyler and then looks over at me, "Who is he?"

"Oh this is my friend Lucas," he says with a smile while patting me on the back.

"Oh hey," he says with a smile, "I'm Ian and this my buddy Jack," he pats the guy on the shoulder.

"Hey," I said letting myself in. It is party I hope? I was relieved when I saw people in the living room. There were three girls on the sofa. One of them went up to me, "Hello," I said.

She looks at my crotch and then back at me. 'Does she want me inside her?' "I'm Suzy one of Ian's friends."

"I see nice to meet you."

Kyler came into the living room and seeing what the girl had in mind grabbed my arm and steers me away. 'Do they know he is gay?' he walks outside on the porch and drops in a chair, "Listen those girls in there are already drunk so they don't know what they are doing."

'Why does it matter to Kyler?' my mind wonders, "So how do you know these people?"

"From college." he is a college student which is more fun to be with, "want a beer?" I said ok he disappeared inside. A few people were talking outside now some started talking to me. Kyler came back with two beer cans. He hands me one and sits down across from me, "so how do you like the party so far?"

Before I could answer Ian and Jack intrude, "Hey you guys enjoying the party?" Ian asks.

"Yes it's a good party," I answered him sipping on my beer.

"You want something stronger?" Jack asks biting his lips.

"Nah I'm driving but Kyler can if he wants?" I turn to him.

Kyler looks from me to the guys, "Depends what you have?"

"Dude it's a party," Jack says in a simple tone, "come with me to the kitchen and see what our party guests brought with them?"

Kyler stands up and follows Ian to the kitchen while Jack kept me company, "Kyler tells me you go to Bound Ashes?"

"Yup," I was uninterested in this topic, "nice house your friend got."

Jack opens his beer can and takes a sip while looking around at the yard and the people that were talking there, "Yes he does. By the way Kyler is my partner in the science lab at school. He should quit the restaurant job."

"Why? He seems perfectly fine with the job he has?"

"You don't get him do you? Well he did say you just want him for sex."
