Lena was special. I've never met anyone like her. But she's difficult. She doesn't like to talk about things. She shuts down. Does she even like being around me?
"Y/n? Y/n? Are you listening?" "What" I mumbled. "I'm trying to tell you something" Kara said. "Yeah about your article." "Just go see her." "Huh?" "I'm not stupid. You get a little twinkle in your eye when you think about Lena." "No I don't" I said rolling my eyes. "Yes you do. Just go see her I'll cover for you" she said nudging me. "Are you sure?" "Just go." "Thank you" I said getting up to hug her.
I went to go get some lunch from her favorite place and then went to her office.
I knocked on her office and waited for her to answer. I heard a quiet "come in".
I walked in to her office and saw paper everywhere and her desk a mess.
"Y/n? What are you doing here? Kara told me you were stuck in your office writing and article." "No I went to get you some lunch cause you never eat" I said moving towards the small couch in her room and placing the food down on the small table in front of it. "Thank you" she said rubbing her temple.
"Come here" I said sitting down on the couch. She got up and walked over to me, laying down and putting her head in my lap. I slowly raked my hands through her hair.
"What's wrong?" "Just stress" she said closing her eyes. "Tell me about it." "It's not important."
"Come on Lena. Why don't you ever talk to me about anything?" "You know you're like my first serious girlfriend" she said reaching for my other hand. "I do. And I know you're not used to someone asking all these questions everyday but I ask because I care. I care about you a lot. I want to know your fears, nightmares, why your day was bad, or anything you want to talk about." "I know I'm just not used to it." "I know. I love you. It's just a way to show I care."
"I know. I'm sorry you have to deal with this." "With what?" "You deserve a girlfriend that responds to your text and calls, that isn't at her office at ridiculous times, and someone that can answer simple questions." "Lena, I don't want another girlfriend. Don't even think that. I understand you get busy. You get zoned in when you're working on stuff. You're not great at talking about your feelings but neither am I. These are all things I knew before we got together. If it bothered me I wouldn't have asked you out. But I don't care about that because I know you're not doing it intentionally. I love you. Okay?" "Thank you. I know I can get difficult to deal with." "I love you. And nothing is going to change that." "I love you too."
A/n: so I have one more finished but I have an alternative ending. I also don't like how any of these ended. They all kinda have the same ending and I was trying to make it better but I got tired of it so I'm just gonna publish them:)
