Stealing

It was a quick in and out thing. That's all it was supposed to be.

I looked on my phone and made sure the cameras in the place were disabled.

I walked into the store with a knife in my pocket. It was a little corner store that nobody really goes to.

There was a few people in line so I walked around and pretended to look for something until the last person walked out. I waited to see if anyone else would walk in. Nobody did so I went up to the cashier quietly.

He was turned around so I walked behind the counter and quickly put the knife to his throat.

"If you listen this will all go smoothly. Open the cash register and give me the money in it. If try to pull anything I'll slit your throat. All I need you to do is give me the money in the register" I said to the man while turning him around to look at the register. "No no no no no no no no p-please" the guy begged. "Then just give me the money and we can pretend this didn't happen."

The guy shakily opened the register and gave me the money in it. I quickly took it from him then ran out the place.

I got around the corner when someone picked me up from my waist and pulled me into a dark alleyway. They set me down and I quickly took the knife out of my pocket and turned around. But I put it away when I saw who it was.

"Stealing again are we?" She asked. "Well hello again Lena." "Y/n let's not play games" she said while holding her hand out. I gave her a high five and then she gave me a look. "What?" "Give me the money. Either I can go give the money back or you." "Can't do that I need this money." "Y/n I've told you multiple times I could just give you money." "You could but there's no thrill in that. You know for someone that broke up with me I think you still love me. How many times are you going to track me down?" "Y/n you know I still do. But you can't keep stealing. Plus you just held a knife to that guys throat."

I could hear police sirens in the distance coming.

"You know that was just to scare him I wasn't going to hurt him. Sorry babe gotta go" I said before pecking her lips real quick and running away.

I ran back to my apartment. I locked myself out so I went to where my window was outside. I jumped and grabbed the ladder to pull myself up. I then opened my window and turned the light on. I then saw Lena and Kara standing in my apartment.

"Hey I just saw you" I said pointing to Lena with a smile "Also you guys broke in here and couldn't let me in the door. That's pretty rude."

Then in a flash handcuffs were on me.

"Oh you came here to arrest me. Well I can't make it that easy" I said before going back out my window. I held onto the ladder then dropped down.

I know Kara can catch up to me easily but why not give them a workout. I got a few blocks away and Kara popped up with Lena.

"Come on Y/n don't make it hard" Kara said. "Well if you're going to put me in jail at least let me have a little fun before I go" I said with a playful pout. "Just come on" Lena said.

I was about to run away again but Lena took my arm. "Enough running let's go."

Before I could say anything else Kara took me and Lena and I was standing inside a building.

Well I was in a cell and they were both looking at me. At least my handcuffs were off.

It didn't look like a jail cell so I assumed I was in the Deo.

"Oh come on. How long are you going to keep me here. And will I take a shower?" "Until you learn your lesson. We just want to help you Y/n. And we have showers here.I have to go there's another emergency" Kara said. She went away quickly.

"Come on I wasn't going to actually use the knife. I just wanted to get him scared.

Lena sat in front of the glass. She just stared at me. A single tear ran down her cheek.

"What's wrong?" I asked while sitting on the floor. "I didn't want to do this y/n. I didn't want to get you arrested. But you just have to understand that-" "Lena you don't have to explain anything. I know what I did. I'm not mad at you. It's just the consequences. But I can't steal from anybody in here so you don't have to keep looking out for me." "What do you mean?"

"I mean you don't have to put up with me anymore. Go find someone that will treat you good. I'm sorry for everything. I love you. I always will. But I'm not good enough for you." I said while getting up and laying down on the bed in the cell staring at the ceiling. "No Y/n we can do this together. I'm not leaving you. I- I can't leave you. There's no one else for me. It's you y/n. It always has been and always will be. I'm not leaving." "Lena you shouldn't be waiting on me. This is all on me. So I'm telling you I don't want you seeing me anymore. I'm not good enough for you. Just promise you'll find someone better."

"Hey guys" Kara said while walking back in before Lena could respond.

"What's up" Kara said looking between me and Lena. "What's wrong?" She added. "Nothing. Im going to go to sleep" I said before turning away from them.

I didn't want to look at Lena. I know she's hurt but it's for the best.

"Okay well I'll come check on you tomorrow. Also Winn needs your help with something Lena" Kara said. "Okay let's go" Lena said before they both left.

I sat and stared at the wall thinking about what I just did.

Did I really want her to stop seeing me? No. But it's what's best for her.
