"Mamma do you think mom is gonna be here for my wedding" my oldest daughter asked. She is twenty seven and is finally getting married. Lena and I have three kids. Two girls one boy. I couldn't have been more proud of my oldest. She looks so happy.

"She's going to be here. She's not going to miss it." "Okay" she sighed. I pulled her into a hug and rubbed her back. "You just get ready and don't worry about anything. All you need to worry about it not tripping in that dress" I said taking a step back and admiring how long her dress is. It was elegant. She looked so beautiful in it. "Thank you. I need to go get my makeup done now."

She walked off to finish getting ready and I pulled my phone out to see if Lena had texted me. But I had nothing. I decided to call her but she didn't answer. ----------------
I was walking down the aisle now. I could see her looking around for her mom. I can't believe she would do this. She locked eyes with me and I could see the hurt on her face. She still had a smile but it was different.

Then Lena finally showed up just as we were halfway down the isle. I can't with her right now. She's late to her own daughters wedding.

I handed my daughter off and sat next to Lena. Ignoring her.

"Y/n I'm sorry" she whispered. "Don't. It's your own daughter Lena. She's getting married. And once again you put your career above your family." "It wasn't like that. Can we please talk about this later" she begged. "Whatever."

I sat down and watched my daughter as she danced with her husband. She looked so happy. She truly looks gorgeous. She reminded me of Lena on our wedding day.

"Can we please talk" Lena said popping up next to me. I silently got up and followed her to wherever.

"You know I tried so hard to be here on time. I tried to be back weeks ago." "Lena we knew months ago. Almost a whole year ago, and you still weren't here on time. Why? All I want to know is why." "I was stuck on a different Earth. I tried to get back. I begged Kara. I wanted to come back to you, to our daughter. I wanted to come back a day into the mission but I couldn't. I shouldn't have went. You know I didn't want to be away from you for that long, let alone miss our daughters wedding. I'm just thankful I got back before she fully got down the isle."

"You shouldn't be apologizing to me." "I already apologized to her before I came to you" she said referring to our daughter. I hummed in response.

"I didn't want to leave" she said hugging me. She wrapped her arms around my waist, laying her head on my chest. "I know. I shouldn't have talked to you like that, I'm sorry. I couldn't stand the look on her face when she saw you weren't here yet. I know that you didn't want to go but you were needed. I'm just glad you're back" I said messing with a piece of her hair. "I'm done with missions for good. I can't keep disappearing. If I would've missed this wedding I wouldn't have forgiven myself."

I hummed listening to what Lena said. "I love you Lena. I missed you. You know I always hated you being away for so long." "I know. I never liked being away from you for so long either" she said leaning back to look me in the eyes. I leaned down to kiss her softly.

"Let's get back to the wedding."
