I had finished my meal around 15 minutes ago, between that time and now, I had wandered the city in hopes I didn't have to ask anyone for help. I mean, I already caused three people a lot of trouble during my very short time in this reality.
My city expedition didn't end until I was at a spiralling platform surrounded by thick branches leading up to the steps of the Akademiya. It was a magnificent building, an elongated tower and a balcony were seen as soon as I stepped onto the elegant tree-bound bridge. A beautiful place to study.
Why didn't they make my university this pretty? The funding here must be insane!
As I reached the end of the bridge, I noticed a young woman standing by the door, taking long strides over to her I smiled and began to speak in a mild-manner tone. "Hello, I-"
"Welcome to the Akademiya."
"Hi," I repeated slowly. "I was wondering if you could tell me where the Amurta Darshans are?"
"Amurta is the oldest school in the Akademiya, and focuses on Biology."
"Uhhuh, oka-"
"It was originally formed by the researchers who followed the Dendro Archon to cultivate the rainforest, and it is still the largest school today." She continued on in a forced voice.
Oh, wow she really doesn't like being interrupted.
"That's great, where d-"
"It is represented by the colour green and it includes disciplines such as biology, ecology, and medicine."
"Tha-"
"Anyway" She forced a chuckle. "If it's not farming, it's stockbreeding."
"What?" I shook my head, "whatever, I just need to know where I can find an Amurta Darshan scholar. Tighnari said to talk to one of them about my arrival."
"I can refer you to the correct individual. Please allow me to provide a step-by-step guide on how to find Makhfi."
Nodding in approval, the young lady carried on talking.
"When you have entered the building, please take the left exit by the fountain. You should see a spiralling footpath leading up to Razan Garden. There, a girl with long brown hair should be. She is often muttering about research whilst studying the plants."
Exclaiming my gratitude, I hurried into the building, the words the young lady spoke after this began to fade away whilst I rushed through the doors on the left. After a short journey up the mossy spiral platform, I found myself in a laboratory-set garden.
The first thing I noticed was a young woman standing by some water, I could hear her muttering. It could very well be the woman I'm looking for. "Hi, sorry to bother you"
"The life of a resear-oh!" She jumped slightly. "Oh no worries, I'm sorry you had to hear me complain."
"It's alright, I totally get it" No really, I do.
"Who are you? You don't seem to look like a scholar."
"Y/n. I was told you'd be here."
"It's me you're looking for?"
"Tighnari asked to let you know that I have arrived."
"Right... so what does he want me to do with that information."
"Uh, I think he said he wanted someone to let him know when I arrived, that's all..." I responded in mild embarrassment. I feel like a kid that needs adult supervision.
"Alright, I'll let one of our researchers who frequents the village give him the news." She smiled lightly, "was there anything else?"
"No that was all, thank you!" I once again rushed off. Finally. Now all I need is a place to stay.
"Dull, I suppose Tighnari is having a lot of fun out in the village." She pondered to herself, her voice carried by the wind as I made my way to the Akademiyas main building and out into the fresh open air of Sumeru city.
