Mischief

Dottore P.O.V.

White fitted suit swayed slowly in the Sumeru summer breeze. An air of mischief surrounded his anatomy, if someone so much as looked his way the hair on the back of their head would rise in both fear and intrigue.

Dottore, the 2nd Fatui Harbinger, dripped authority with every step he took. In fact, the moment he entered Sumeru city's territory, the Sumeru roses quivered and wilted in his presence.

He had been informed of the failure his underlings endured by those who kept watch and was provided with an image of the traveller, little Paimon and the woman, a petrified look on her face as they looked to be conversing.

Patting his right breast pocket, where he kept that image, he continued into the city. Today, his attention wasn't on the mysterious young lady and her potential relations with the traveller.  Instead, he was here to carry out the Tsaritsa's grand scheme. To build a God.

Besides, he knows she's here. It's only a matter of time before he finds her and takes her away for his personal little experiment.

Finally back at the Akademiya, a place he had once called home, he settled into his workstation and began his torturous game.

Hours passed yet felt like minutes to this man, who smiled devilishly at the gut-wrenching screams of his comrade. He was done, his test was a success. Ordering his soldiers to discard the victim, he took his leather gloves off and began disinfecting.

The sages. My, what stupidity has the Akademiya let in. He would often ponder, whilst looking right at them, talking in his well-mannered authoritative tone. The sages have no idea the magnitude of this scheme, they don't know the truth behind this man-made God.

No matter, in time they will realise their grand mistake. Dottore was done briefing the sages on the current experiment, he had finished evaluating the effects of the electro gnosis on a capable specimen vs an ordinary Fatui soldier and only after having completed his journal entry, did he allow himself the satisfaction to grin at his fanatical scheme.

It was the perfect blend of insanity, but to this man, it was the perfect blend of engineering and science. He left the building in a calm manner, but don't let that fool you, dear reader, he was anything but calm. He was spiralling from within. His thoughts bouncing left and right, concocting more devious plans and ideas for fun.

It wasn't until he noticed a certain young lady, who looked to be house-shopping, did he produce a rather tight-lipped expression and domineering posture.

How wonderful, to think, today would be so pleasant. The Archons must be smiling down at me, to give me such a fascinating gift.

And fascinating she was. She didn't seem academically gifted, from the way she was counting her mora. Could it be, though? was she not from Teyvat, like the traveller? Or was this pure coincidence and she just isn't very good at counting her currency?

So many questions Dottore was dying to find answers to, was she from another world? did she teleport like the traveller? Is she affiliated with the traveller? He just had to know them all.

All at once, the noises in his head stopped and a single thought popped up. He knew what his next course of action should be, and he was going to make it fun.

That nefarious grin returned in its sadistic entirety.
