Lola's POV-

We ended up exiting the plan about three and a half hours later. The amount of time landing, being on the runway, and waiting for other people to exit is ridiculous. I wish they would estimate that into the flight duration so it would be easier to know what to expect.

Once we had exited the plane, we headed to baggage claim, which was the easiest place to call a taxi. Once we got one flagged down, we had about a fifteen minute drive to my dad's house. The ride was pretty quiet, although Grayson talked to the driver a little bit.

Finally when we arrived at the house, we got out of the taxi and gathered our luggage from the trunk of the car. Before we even got to the front porch, my dad was at the door with a giant smile on his face and his arm waving in the air.

"Dad!" I exclaimed, throwing my backpack over my shoulders and running ahead of the guys to give him a hug.

"How was your flight?" he asked, squeezing me back.

"It was pretty good" smiling, I stepped back.

"Good to see you again, Mr. Sailor" Harry held out his hand and my dad pulled him into that stupid guy hug.

"You, too, Harry. Damn you're looking thin, has she not been feeding you?" he burst out laughing at his own joke before looking at Grayson. "And who is this young man?"

"Dad, this is Grayson" I gestured to him. "My...boyfriend"

His eyes met mine, confusion written all over his face. I could tell that he wanted to ask questions, but knew that at this particular moment, it might not be the right time.

"Nice to meet you" Grayson brushed off the uneasiness and held out his hand. "I've heard a lot about you"

"I can't say the same" grimacing, my dad accepted the handshake. "Come on in, Guys"

He stepped back, letting us walk in in front of him.

"I apologize, I wasn't expecting there to be three of you, and there's only the one other bedroom."

"We'll be fine" I waved off.

"Well, if the three of you would like to take your stuff upstairs, I'm just finishing up some work. I have pizza being delivered. Hope you all like pizza"

"Pizza sounds amazing" Grayson replied.

My dad cast him one more look before walking away.

"Come on, I'll show you my old room" I nodded my head before leading the way up the hardwood staircase.

"I thought your dad is a lawyer" Grayson hissed in my ear.

"He is, why?"

"I expected a lawyer to have a bigger crib"

"He lives by himself" I reminded him. "And even when my mom and I were here, we loved it because this is where we grew up"

"It's a nice house" Harry said quietly.

Ignoring him, I kept walking down the hallway before I found my familiar room. Reaching forward, I pushed open the door and was surprised to see that nothing had really changed. There were still posters covering the walls of bands that I liked, as well as polaroids of ex boyfriends or crushes that for some reason I had made somewhat of a shrine to. The fairy lights were still bordering the ceiling and my mandala tapestry, although they weren't turned on, and I still had my incense tray on my dresser, which I had neglected to remove the ashes from. Somehow the smell of roses was still present from it.

"Cute room" Grayson tossed his bag into the corner and kicked off his shoes. "I didn't know you had a thing for The Beatles"

"Yeah, sorry, it's kind of a mess" I sunk down onto my bed.
