Lola's POV-

My heart was still pounding when Grayson pulled into the crowded parking lot of a club that I hadn't been to before, although once we gave our ID to the bouncer and we stepped in, I was pretty instantly distracted.

Everyone inside was costumed, from onesies to sexy costumes, and even some hyper realistic characters, like Michael Myers and Sam from Trick 'r Treat, which had always been one of my favorite horror characters. It was just disappointing to me how when he took his burlap hood off, he wasn't as adorable as he was when he had it on. In fact, he looked absolutely monstrous. Nonetheless, he was still one of my favorites

"It's way more crowded than I expected" Grayson observed.

"I, mean, it's Halloween"" I reminded him. "Everyone is getting drunk tonight"

"Fair" he chuckled.

The room was full of fog. It was pretty thick, but not thick enough that you couldn't see anything. The orange and purple lights overhead were reflecting off the smoke, making it, too, appear colored. To the right was a crowded bar, and on the floor, people were all dancing. I guessed half of them had no idea who they were even dancing with.

I'd been to crowded clubs and bars before, but nothing like this. It was insane.

"Want to stay here and I'll grab us drinks?" Grayson asked me.

I shook my head. "I don't want to get lost"

"Good thinking" he smiled, holding out his hand again.

Hesitantly, I accepted it. His smile grew a little, but it was barely catchable before he pulled me over to the bar top. We literally had to squeeze our way in to even have a spot.

"Have you heard from Harry at all?" he asked.

I pulled my phone from my purse, glancing at the lockscreen. There were no new text notifications from him.

I shook my head.

"Do you think he's going to text you?"

I shrugged. "I don't know. I feel like he would at some point. He's coming home eventually, and obviously, he knows I'm living at his apartment"

"I wonder if he's going to ask you to move out"

"I don't want to think about that yet" I admitted. "Especially not tonight. I just want to have a good night"

"You're right, I'm sorry" he tensed up. "I won't talk about it anymore"

"I know I'm going to have to think about it all at some point, and like how I want to move on and everything. I guess I just want to push it as far as I can"

"Says the anti-procrastinator" he joked.

"I know" I folded my hands in front of me. "Let me procrastinate this one time"

"Are you still doing piano online?" he asked.

"Sometimes. I skipped a couple, but my brain has been crazy the last two months"

"Have they invited you to come back to class in person yet?"

"I don't know, I haven't checked my student email in forever"

"No one actually checks it, don't worry" he brushed off. "Sometimes, I only look just to see if class is canceled"

"How scholarly of you" I teased.

"Don't forget, it's just an elective"

"Oh, right"

"Do you think you would come back in person if you could?"
