I had completely forgotten that I had agreed to go to the movies with Kyla and the boys after school until she approached with Matt and Holden trailing behind her.

"Where the hell do you think you're going?" she held the driver door to my car wide open," don't tell me you forgot."

"Crap," I peeled my eyes off the empty parking space that usually homed Caleb's motorcycle," I did forget."

"You have time to go home and change if you want, the next movie starts at 7pm."

"Okay, that's fine then I'll see you guys there?" I also did not meet Holden's eyes. Hot guilt ran through my veins now and not blood, I was more ashamed of myself then I had ever been and more so because I was more concerned with Caleb's bite then cheating on my boyfriend.

"Can I come with you actually? And the boys can meet us there?"

"We have to go pick up some stuff for the team," Matt said and Holden was eyeing me suspiciously.

"Yeah," I breathed out trying to maintain my straight face although I felt as if I needed to be alone," hop in."

Kyla obeyed and Matt began to head for his car. Holden lingered behind and replaced Kylas gip on my driver's door.

"What's the matter with you?" he asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Why haven't you been answering your phone? I texted you like five times."

"It died," I lied and realized that I had officially lost track of the amount of times that I had lied to Holden. He seemed doubtful but there was nothing that he could rebuttal with, instead he said," whatever, i'll see you at the theater then."

"Mhm," I squeaked out, while nodding, taking my car door by the handle and shutting it. I reversed out of the parking spot with both Kyla's hot gaze and Holdens confused one on me.

I had managed to dodge most of Kyla's questions successfully, but the enviable one was as I was parking my car to get into my house. She pulled me towards her and tossed my hair to the side," that's new."

"What is?" I peered at the side of my neck through my rear view mirror and stifled a gasp. A bright burgundy hickey had displayed my recent act of unfaithfulness.
Instead, I cleared my throat and acted nonchalant," oh that, yeah Holden did that."

Kyla's eyebrows furrowed together and she stared at me like I was insane," obviously it was Holden, who else would it have been?"

"Well yeah, duh, I don't know why I said that," I let myself out and slammed the door shut. Kyla was on my heel in an instant.

"Holden says you've been acting weird all day, are you alright?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" we were inside of my living room now and mom's car was also absent, I prayed that it meant she had gone to work.

"Did something happen?"

"Kyla stop, I don't need you butting in trying to fix everything all the time, especially when it's really none of your business."
