Life is complicated and death also has limited simplicity. Mass casualty events are often equally familiarly, politically, and socially mounted. Suicide pending on the situation, religion and culture and be morally acceptable or ethically demanded. There are many rules and accepted reasons on what deaths are permitted. This the is nature of the United States where there are many cultures and religions that have a wide variety of believes which varies on what can be legal and respected, however for the sake of this argument, looking at the top three organized religions, suicide is often the immoral and not celebrated. When examining the nature of death and the understanding of death culture in the United States, the moral, emotional, social, and natural reactions to death have a wide variety of reactions. This must and can only be properly observed and understood through cultural, psychological, and sociological sense. Research regarding how religious leaders, patients, families, and hospital personnel can be seen through survey and interview as their feedback regarding the current system is imperative to see how to improve.
Ideas, beliefs, and perceptions are all shaped by the beliefs held by the local community. There are ideal ways to live, to work, to grow up, and to be educated. There are ideal forms of jobs, careers, lives, spouses, parties, customs, income, diet, workouts, family, sports, discipline, and the list goes on. While the list mostly encompasses daily life aspects, deaths are the ones that are most remembered. "The Good Death" as many researchers and communities call it is based strongly on the religious and cultural beliefs that a person holds. Dying well, the final act and desire of every person or their family is how a person will be remembered. Whether they succumb to their battle or fought to the bitter end great tells how a person exited this world. Loving parents, devoted spouses, taken before their time, are all common phases used to expose and immortalize the social and family relationships that a person had and how they died. If someone is taken before their time means that they were taken suddenly and often violently. These tombstone markers give ideas to how old the person was, their general cause of death, and generate further action on behalf of those who commissioned it or those reading it. If someone loses their battle with cancer, then it pushes their remaining loved ones to be tested often. Surviving generations become more precautious and often when they can afford it, take measures to prevent a similar death. More violent and public deaths create pathways for legal action and legislation. Through death, society determines the final worth of a person and how best to save surrounding people. In death, as in life, people are remembered and secure a momentary immortal legacy through storytelling, medical charts, articles, statistical data and memory sharing. Abnormal deaths are often studied longer and often given spots in ethical or medical textbooks and journals. Death is remarkably like birth as it is a normal act that many people experience every day. There is one person actively going through it, however there are a multitude of witnesses to ensure everything goes according to plan, document, and finalize.
While every person along with every community is different, it should be encouraged to make a detailed will to help guide loved ones and medical personnel on final wishes, care within different circumstances of death, do not resuscitate, treatments, and machines durations to keep a person alive. This really helps loved ones take care of the general and long term needs of a person. This leads to less blames, breaking patient and familial bonds, and confusion when handling end of life or terminal care, while ensuring that as many final wishes can be accomplished.
