I enjoyed the poem. I think it spoke deeply about what things that the narrator is experiencing. She is dealing with someone twisting her words and using them against her. I enjoyed the gentle and dismissive tone of the narrator. The tone also helps understand the mood and nature of the poet and the narrator

I think she nailed the form. There were not many expressions used but it is easy to understand. It has clear language that remains clear throughout the piece. Clear language makes it easier to share the poem to other people. Also makes the audience bigger along with ageless and not gender specific. The narrator could be anyone. I am assuming that it is female due to my own bias.

I think that the imagery was common and clear. It helped the reader understand that the narrator is moving on with her life even if others are stuck where they are. Moving on is a major subject that is starting to be addressed by major poets. I feel that the poem creates a dialogue between the reader and the narrator. The conversation is majority of what is going on but also that it is perfectly fine to move on from toxic and hateful people.

It reminded me of some of Maya Angeluo's work. It is simple, and the form is easy to follow which allows the poem to be read and understood by all readers. The symbolization is very detailed and understandable. The common and clear symbolism of the bullets and walking away helps the reader understand the poem.

A timeless form and timeless truth. A little church lady with many dreams sat quietly in the back with a mirror in front of her. Walking by you could tell she missed the past. Looking in the mirror you could see her. A beautiful, plain, regular who came in with pens and old books. She left us art and colorful designs that changed minds and hearts. An afro-funk beauty who captivated the minds and changed the world as she wrote poems. Amazing and kind with a smile in her eyes and compassion in her heart. Ageless and timeless as a corner shop cafe with timeless people. Beyond the scope and beyond the time.

The Maya Angeluo of her time in her own way.
