You left the room, leaving Alejandro to Ghost and taking watch instead. You could hear the screams of Alejandro's guards as they entered the building you just left to see the horde of corpses and their leader missing.

Frantically scattering across the area in an attempt to find him, they probably have no idea he would be this far away in such a little time. Leave it to Ghost to run this far carrying an extra body.

A sudden flash exploded into the sky from the ground across your building, it was a signal. And before you knew it, dozens of guards ran across the ground, surrounding the building, shooting and throwing grenades at it.

"L.T. We have a big problem!" you tried to sound as calm as possible, but it was impossible with how fast your heart was beating.

"I can see them from the windows. Get down here. We need to leave, now." he ordered.

"We are surrounded, how will we do that??" you hesitantly questioned as you started making your way down to him.

"Just come down" he ended the call with that, and you quickly went to the room where he was, only to find a dead Alejandro and what seemed to be an underground tunnel underneath the table.

"I thought we needed him alive?" you questioned, Ghost only looked at you before motioning you towards the tunnel.

"We will discuss everything once we are safe." He said as the two of you descended into the tunnel. There was a switch at the bottom of the stairs that closed off the entrance from the inside. It was dark, too dark you couldn't even see your hands.

A flashlight beamed in your face, momentarily blinding you.

"Let's go" he commanded, walking in front of you. You quickly followed him as you turned on your own flashlight. The ceiling looked like it was ready to collapse, and with the constant explosions happening on the surface, it wasn't far-fetched.

You needed to get out of here, and you needed to do it fast. Once you got out of the danger zone, you turned to Ghost.

"So why did you kill him?" you asked

"I thought you knew the future, you should have the answer to that without having to ask me" he replied shortly.

"It's because I knew the future, that the outcome changed. In other words, we are in the unknown future now. I don't know what will happen next." you explained.

Ghost stopped in his tracks, causing you to bump into him as he slowly turned to look at you, and there was a long pause before he decided to reply.

"We got all the intel we needed, I had Laswell on the radio and she confirmed everything before deeming him useless. She's also the one who managed to find this hidden tunnel," he said before turning his back again and moving forward.

"I see" you followed after him.

The tunnel was large and long, and it felt as if you were walking for ages with no exit in sight. The radio couldn't catch a signal underground so you couldn't consult Laswell about the way, you could only move forward.

"What was going to happen in the future you saw? Is it that different?" Ghost's voice suddenly broke the silence, slightly startling you.

"Yeah, it was very different. If we charged ahead like how I saw, we both would be dead by now," you said, looking at him.

"So I owe you my life now, is it? Thanks (y/n)." he sounded sincere, and for a moment, you could feel the heat rising to your cheeks.

"Fuck yeah compliment me more hooo"

"You only have yourself to thank for, we would have died if you didn't find the tunnel, so we are tied now" you shook your head at him, smiling a bit. He stared at you for some time before continuing forward.

A sudden loud yell startled the both of you, and you look behind to see a torch lighting the tunnel in the distance. It was carried by someone, someone who wasn't alone, someone who was armed. You turned to Ghost, to see him already staring at you.

"We can't fight here. The tunnel is too small, it might collapse on us. And if they threw a grenade, we will be fucked. Let's make a run for it" he hissed as he grabbed your arm, dragging you the other way.

A few bullets flew by you, notifying you that your pursuers were closing in, but the exit was still not in sight. You felt your lungs burning, as you have been running for almost 30 minutes non-stop now. Eventually, you reached a crossroads. A way to the left, and a way to the right.

"What way should we go??" you asked frantically. Ghost seemed off, you could almost sense his panic.

What way will you choose? Right or left? Remember... Choices have consequences.
