AN: This is a small chapter dedicated to how the rescue operation went, It's gonna be from Soap's point of view however, to make it seem more ... Realistic I guess? so sorry in advance for any mistakes. Also, there will be a second book, it will take some time but I'm working on it.

I watched as (y/n) charged at Laswell, pretending to argue with her so she could put the tracking device on her. Price pulled (y/n) back seconds before the agents broke in. The man started to go on and on about how she was a criminal and shit, it made my blood boil. After all we went through, and all that she did. This was how it's going to end?? I stepped ahead, holding her arm. I wanted to say something, anything. But I couldn't. What was I even supposed to say? All that was on my mind was anger and bitterness.

(y/n) brushed off my hand, and gave me a nod before she went along with them. I looked back at the team once she was out of the room, about to speak my fucking throat off, but Ghost beat me to it.

During the entire time we served together under 141, not once have I seen him so fucking furious. A bloodthirsty look flashed in his eyes, his voice was calm and stern. Yet you could feel the venom dripping from his mouth.

"He's not friendly, is he? Why did we hand her over?" he hissed, walking slowly toward Price. His height gave him a more intimidating aura.

"We can't cause a ruckus in the base. Remember, (y/n) is a secret. If we do that we might put her in more danger. Plus we can use this as an opportunity to finish off what is left of the enemy." Price firmly explained, looking at all of us.

"What now?" Gaz questioned, he was just as mad as the rest of us.

"I put a tracker under her collar, we will track them down and attack them in their base," Laswell declared, fixing her own collar from where (y/n) grabbed her.

"What are we waiting for then? Let's go." Ghost didn't even wait for anyone to reply, he went outside to the car.

"Gaz, Soap, go with him. Don't let him drive. Laswell, give me the tracker." Price shot one order after another. I went outside with Gaz, jogging to catch up with Ghost before he drives off on his own.

Gaz ran up to Ghost as he reached the car, patting his shoulder
"I'll drive, get in," he said. Ghost said nothing in return, he looked at the both of us before getting in the backseat. I got in next to him, Price got in the passenger seat a few seconds after.

"The tracker is pointing to an abandoned factory a few miles away from here. Me and Gaz will take over watch. You two will infiltrate the factory and clean it up from the inside. You have the authority to annihilate any danger inside. Understood?" Price ordered.
"Yes sir!" we all said in unison.

We left the car away from the factory and split up. Price and Gaz managed to get rid of any guards using the hill that was overseeing the old factory, so it was an easy entrance for me and Ghost. As we made our way to the main building, I noticed Ghost's way of assassinating the guards was more brutal than usual. Forget tactical, he was full-on blowing his steam on them.

An ear-piercing scream echoed through the factory, it was a scream of absolute pain, it was (y/n)'s. I felt my gut twist as I looked at Ghost who was tensed up. We both shared a look before we ran to the main building, killing anything that comes our way.

I planted the breach bomb on the door as the both of us took cover. Her screams didn't stop, they just kept getting louder and more painful. Ghost threw a grenade into the main hall, bombing all the soldiers inside. He was rushing, unlike his usual calm self, and I knew he was panicking inside.

"(y/n) is in an underground room on the south part of the building." Price reported to us through the radio. Ghost wasn't even hiding his rush anymore, he dashed to the staircase, skipping two steps at a time.

Once we reached the underground floor, he sprinted through the corridor, following (y/n)'s scream and busted the door open. I stood there in horror once I saw her, she wasn't in her uniform. Multiple tubes were stuck to her and blood was coming out of her nose. Ghost walked up to her and cut off all the tubes before shaking her. No response, her eyes were open, but she wasn't responsive. Tears were running down her face and her eyes were wide open, it was like she was frozen in shock.

"Man, and I thought I was sly with my plan to get her, yet here you are." an automated voice came from the other side of the room. A giant man wearing a weird ass mask stood at the door, aiming at Ghost.
"Drop your weapon," he said to me as I aimed at him.
"I got this," Price said through the radio.
"Don't kill him," Ghost whispered back.

I dropped my weapon, pretending like I was surrendering, and the fucker started to laugh like a maniac, thinking he won. Within mere seconds he was lying on the floor, holding his leg where Price shot him.

"Fuck! There were more of you??" he hissed as he held his injured leg, trying to crawl to the gun.
"Soap, tend to (y/n) here, I will deal with him." Ghost said as he kicked the gun away from the man's hand.

Ghost stepped on the man's injured leg, causing him to scream in pain before he grabbed him by his neck and slammed him against one of the chairs.
He used the tubes that were stuck to (y/n) to tie the man up before he started beating him to a bulb.
"Soap," he huffed, taking a break from beating the man to his death. "How many cuts are on (y/n)?" he suddenly asked without looking back. I looked over at (y/n). There were a total of 13 visible cuts on her body.
"13," I responded as I started patching her up. She had completely lost consciousness now, heat head hung low as blood continued to drip out of her nose.

Ghost grabbed a wrench from the table before turning back to the man who was horrified.
"WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?? JUST KILL ME ALREADY!" He screamed in pain.
"Oh no, I'm going to make you regret the day you ran across us. For every cut she has, you will lose a fucking tooth."

Every time the man slipped out of consciousness, Ghost would throw water at his face, and he would wake up again.
"How many hairs of hers are on the ground?" he asked again, and I looked below her, there were at least a dozen. "A dozen, I guess" I replied as I grabbed (y/n)'s arms and carried her over my back.
"fweaze stoph! I shweal I wonsh shouch her aghain." the man managed to say with his teeth less mouth. Ghost punched him again, "For every hair, you will lose a fucking nail."

By the time he was done torturing the man, he was breathing heavily. The man was barely conscious now, he was just moaning in pain, bleeding from everywhere.
"Soap, get (y/n) and yourself out, I will be right behind you." I nodded. Truth to be said, I was scared, scared that my voice would crack and expose that I was scared of my superior. I ran outside the building with (y/n) on my back, thinking about how to never get on Ghost's bad side ever.

I met up with Gaz and Price at the exfil point, the car was already there, and Price looked over (y/n)'s injuries before looking at me.
"You suck at being a medic," he stated before he grabbed a first aid kit from the car. Once he was done patching (y/n) properly, Ghost came out of the now-burning building. Covered in blood.

"How is she?" he asked as he kneeled next to her, inspecting her patches.
"Her physical injuries are minor, she will be fine," Price replied.
"Does she need to go to the hospital?" he shot another question.
"I will let a friend of mine check on her, it would be too risky to put her in a hospital when she has no records." Price sighed as he stood up, closing the first aid kit and putting it back in the car.
"What after?" I asked, "If she can't stay in a hospital or the base, where is she going to stay?"
"With one of us until she wakes up and decides what she wants to do." he looked at the team expectantly. And I opened my mouth to offer to take her but Ghost beat me to it.
"With me, she will stay with me," he said aggressively, and Price slowly nodded his head at him before we all got into the car.

The medic who checked on (y/n) said that apparently that fucker pumped some sort of drug inside her that affects the brain. And that it will take her two weeks before she wakes up. Even then she may not completely recover. He prescribed some medicines that Ghost would give her every day to prevent any unnecessary complications. Ghost agreed and bought the medicines before taking her to his home. And he'd been taking care of her ever since.

We went to see her twice during the time she was still in a coma, and she seemed to be getting better. It was almost unbelievable that the same man who tortured and killed would be this gentle and careful with her. If I hadn't seen him, I wouldn't have believed it.
