Chapter 13 (Right)

AN: If you chose left, please go to the next chapter.

You quickly grabbed Ghost's arm, dragging him towards the right tunnel. You could use this chance to lose your pursuers, you picked up your pace, motioning for Ghost to do the same without saying anything.

You finally reached an exit, or what you thought was an exit. Instead, you found yourself in a larger tunnel, there were several other tunnels leading to it. At your side, you could see a huge fan moving, on the other side is the outside. You had to turn it off if you wanted to get out, turning back to Ghost you quietly whispered to him.
"Let's split up and search for the controls to stop the fan, let's meet up here when we are done. Don't make too much noise or they will notice you." Ghost nodded his head.

You didn't have much time, and the most efficient way to get at least one of you out was to split up.

There was a map of the tunnels, which Ghost quickly took notice of, he used his phone to take a picture of it, before ripping it off the wall and giving it to you.
"I'll search the tunnels on the right, you search the ones on the left." He muttered.
"Roger" you quickly walked towards your side.

According to the map, 2 of the 4 tunnels on your side were connected, with a door leading up to a room in the middle of the way. You decided to investigate it first, walking towards the tunnel, you turned on your flashlight again.

Walking cautiously, your ears perked up for any small sound that is not your footsteps. A sudden squeak made you jump in fright, and a rat quickly sprinted into a crack in the wall. You continued to make your way towards the door, finally reaching it after some time.

You reached your hand out to the doorknob, preparing your gun in the process, as you slowly turn the knob. Once, twice, thrice. The door was locked.

You sighed, you didn't have any c4 on you, and even if you did, you couldn't use it. You took a few steps back, mentally making a note to come back here again if you find the key to the door.

You walked ahead instead of going back the way you came from. Hoping you magically find the key on the way leading up to the main tunnel.

Unfortunately, you didn't, which leaves the other 2 tunnels. The next one had 5 rooms before reaching a dead end, if someone were to follow you, they could easily kill you there. The one after it had 3 rooms that were connected to each other and to the tunnel, making a connected circle. It was a safer option. You ignored the dead-end tunnel and went inside the circular tunnel instead.

Walking towards the first door, you quietly put an ear to the door, trying to listen in and see if there was any kind of movement inside. When you were sure there was nothing, you opened the door. The room had bunk beds and lockers, and there was a switch next to you, but you were worried that turning it on may bring unwanted attention.

The room looked like it wasn't touched in years, dust sat on the beds and on top of the lockers. Using your flashlight, you pried open the rusted locker, inside there were old clothes and pictures of random people, probably the ones who used to work here. One of the lockers had a journal in it, you thought it might prove useful so you held into it as you moved towards the next room.

The next room was the control room, all the devices looked old and broken.  You tried turning them on but it seemed like the electricity was out. A dim red light caught your attention and you turned your flashlight towards it to see an instruction paper next to it.
*IF ELECTRICITY IS OUT AND YOU ARE IN AN EMERGENCY, TURN ON THE ENGINE IN THE ENGINE ROOM THAT IS LOCATED BETWEEN TUNNELS 3 AND 4. THE KEY TO THE ROOM IS INSIDE THE MANAGER'S LOCKER.*

"nice," you thought to yourself, now you have to find the manager's locker. You marked the control room and the engine room, before heading to the next room.

It was empty. So you went towards the door that lead to the tunnel. But just as you were about to open it, you heard a voice coming from behind you.
"não se, mova" the voice said.

You froze in place, as the door in front of you started to open, revealing your pursuers. A sudden hit to the back of your head knocked you out.
