"So according to the Intel you got from the facility, Shephard is planning to send an American spy to join Makarov? But Makarov already knows that according to the Intel Price got?" Laswell's voice echoed through the call.
"Alejandro mentioned the locations for his arms deal and possible locations of where he could be. The issue is that he has several hideouts in different countries. It's going to be risky." She continued.
"So what's our course of action?" Gaz asked.
"We don't have the best relationship with Russia right now, especially after the ultranationalists took over. Finding and neutralizing Shephard is our top priority. When is this attack supposed to happen?" they all turn to look at you.
"In 3 weeks. He will send Private Joseph Allen disguised under the name Alexi Borodin to join Makarov in his attack on the airport. Before we stop Allen however, there is a Russian base here, and they are in possession of an ACS module. If the timeline is correct, they should be still trying to compromise it. We have to retrieve it first." you explained.
"Alright. I want Soap, Gaz, and Ghost on it. Price I'm going to need you to stay with (y/n) to discuss the rest of the plan and to keep her safe just in case. I expect good news boys."
"Roger that." and the meeting was wrapped up with that.
Aside from you and Price, the team had to move in 2 hours, leaving little time to gear up and barely any time to properly discuss what they should expect.
"Does any of us hypothetically die in this mission?" Soap asked.
"No, but you got caught, and Ghost and Gaz weren't on this mission in that timeline. There was someone else, but that's for later. Use this to your advantage, and use the snowstorm to cover your tracks. You will be found near the ACS module. To avoid that, I suggest you plant a bomb on the door so when they open it, you can easily escape." you suggested.
"It never fails to amaze me every time you do this. Anyways, thanks for the tip (y/n)." He gave you a smile before heading to the vehicle with Ghost and Gaz. Now it was just you and Price.
You stayed in touch with the guys throughout the mission, and so far it was going smoothly. Price signalled you to turn off your radio to discuss further plans. He didn't want to distract the team after all.
Handing you empty white papers, he put forth the intel together before opening his mouth to talk.
"Okay, let's do this kiddo. So far, how many changes have occurred to this timeline? Write it all down on the paper." you nodded your head as you started to write down what you were saying.
"in that timeline, you lost Ghost and Gaz in the previous missions, and a new member joined the team. If I remember correctly, his name was Gary Sanderson or Roach." Price stayed silent, lost in thoughts, so you continued on.
"After we retrieve the ACS modules, we should stop Allen before it's too late. In that timeline, war broke out, and you had to launch a ballistic missile to create an electromagnetic pulse to destroy all vehicles and electronic equipment, unintentionally destroying the international space station with it," you explained.
"So to prevent all this from happening, we should stop Shephard and Allen before it's too late." he finally responded.
"Yes, Allen should be in the training centre, working with Sergeant Foley. Shepherd on the other hand... He was located in a mountain base in Urzikstan. But I'm not sure if he's there right now, as you found him a while after war broke out." You handed the, now full, papers back to Price, and he nodded in agreement.
"Let's hope everything works out be-" the warning alarm went off, interrupting Price and indicating that there is someone trying to get into the base.
Price quickly went to check the monitors to see what was up, and you followed suit. The screen showed at least 30 armed persons on screen, and they certainly weren't here to play house.
"We need to get out of here. Now," Price shouted, grabbing one of your arms and putting it over his shoulder, while his other hand went around your waist to hold you still as he basically dragged you around.
"WAIT, THE INTEL!" You yelled, and he looked back at the table, where everything was scattered. The loud noise of the front door boomed through the base, and Price looked back at you, then at the table again.
"Shit!" he hissed. He pushed a locker on the door, attempting to seal it to give you enough time to evacuate. He then quickly emptied a gas bottle on the papers, before using his lighter to set everything on fire.
He quickly ran back to your side, and you wrapped one arm around his neck as he dragged you out of the back door. Now outside, you had two choices. You can either use the armed truck and leave, attracting attention to yourself. Or you can hide in the forest nearby.
What will you do?
