Their words terrified you. If that was really Soap, you feared for what they might do to him to make him talk. You managed to escape thanks to your ring, but what about him? Surely he has nothing on him.

You went back, fearing for his safety. You couldn't handle another death, especially not that of a dear friend. Soap as a character had a special place in your heart, but Soap as a person who cared about you, as the only person who felt genuine, you couldn't bring yourself to leave him. If the situation was reversed, you knew damn well that he would go back and save your ass.

You took a deep breath, mentally preparing yourself for a possible encounter with the fucker who put you here in the first place, and crawled to the place you came from. All the rooms you passed, that had corpses, were cleaned now. There was not a single trace of blood in any of the rooms, and for a second you started thinking that you may have gone the wrong way.

Picking up your pace out of fear, you finally reached the room you were locked in. The corpse of the dead man was no longer there. Instead, the big dude and another soldier were standing in the middle of the room. Even through the vents, you could tell how angry he was. If he manages to catch you, you will definitely be meeting God today.

But you couldn't stay still, this was your chance since they were preoccupied with finding you. You crawled as quietly as humanly possible to the next vent, but it was empty. You headed to the next one, it was empty as well. The one after it, and the one after it. All the rooms were empty and clean.

"They must have moved him, but to where?? How am I supposed to find him now?" the air vents were already small, but with your anxiousness and fear building up, you started to feel claustrophobic. Struggling to control your breaths, you felt your lungs starting to burn again.

You barely managed to open the air vent, before dragging yourself out. You landed on your back, struggling to breathe. You could hear your heartbeat getting louder and louder by the second. You were in danger, at any given moment, the guy can just barge in and murder you.

A sudden explosion shook the entire building, and your head snapped toward the door, as footsteps and screams filled the corridor. You got on your feet, slowly making your way to the door. You couldn't go back inside the vents at this moment, but you could use the commotion to get out of here. You just needed an eye on the back of your head.

You hid behind the door, leaning against it as you tried to hear what was going on the other side. The footsteps started to fade, and you took the chance to leave the room. True enough, everyone was preoccupied with the explosion, so you headed toward the other end of the building. Avoiding the soldiers was easy, everyone was so focused on their way, that they didn't see anything on the side. It was better for you, as you were still weaponless after all.

Finally reaching the exit door, your hand reached for the knob. But before you could turn it, a huge fist came in contact with your stomach and sent you back inside. The door was sealed shut and a massive figure towered over you.

"And where the fuck do you think you are going?" "shit,"  you said nothing. You were terrified, and it felt like your body was shutting down after the impact. All your limbs were cold and shaking uncontrollably.

He took a step towards you, and another one, until he reached his hand out, grabbing you by the collar.

"Was this your doing?" he said, his already scary automated voice was now laced with venom. All you could do was stare in fear, feeling helpless and small. This only angered him more, before he threw you inside one of the burning rooms.

"I heard once, that being burned alive is the worst pain to ever exist. You should test that theory." was all he said before he closed the door and locked it.

The room had no windows, it was completely isolated. You tried to bust down the door to no avail. Eventually, you started feeling dizzy from the smoke, and your already tired body started to give up. You gave the door one last kick before you fell to the ground.

Was this how you were going to die? All you wanted to do was to go home and live a normal life. Many thoughts went through your head as your vision started to get blurry.

"I don't want to die yet,"  was the last thing you thought of when everything went dark.
