"What are you two doing?" you felt your blood run cold when Simon wrapped an arm around your shoulder while wrapping the other one around Soap's shoulder. His voice was oddly sweet, but his eyes were glued to the screen that was still playing the video of him walking around half-naked.
"Ah, I see," his grip on your shoulder tightened as he made eye contact with you.
"You can just ask me if you want to see me like that," The corners of his eyes got slightly wrinkled, but his eyebrows were still furrowed together, and you felt your face get hot before he turned to Soap, and what you assumed was a smirk turned into a scowl now. He let go of your shoulder and fully turned to face Soap. So you took the chance and took slow steps back.
Soap looked at you wide-eyed and mouth agape as you betrayed him and went to safety. Giving him the good luck sign before leaving the room.
"WAIT! WAIT! SHE ASKED TO SEE IT," He screamed like a little girl as Simon started patting his back.
"Is that so? So it wasn't you who told her about the prank, and it wasn't you who kept the videos and pictures I clearly told you to remove them," his hand formed a fist as he started lightly punching Soap in the back.
"I tell you what. She was drooling over you, I did you a favor, Simon,"
"JOHNNY, YOU SON OF A BITCH. I DID NOT!" You exclaimed when he started putting the blame on you.
"Give me your phone," Simon didn't even wait for Soap to respond as he snatched the phone away from his hands and proceeded to remove every single picture of him in that underwear, and then he removed them from the pin to make sure Soap doesn't restore them later on. He put the phone in his pocket before he stared at Soap, who said nothing in response.
"You are free to go now. We will settle this later Johnny," he said casually as he nodded his head toward the door.
"...My phone..?" Soap hesitantly asked.
"I'll give it to you later," Simon responded, and Soap shook his head in disbelief before he bid the two of you good night and went back to his house.
As soon as he was out of the door, Simon turned to look at you. Only to see an empty space.
"Ain't no way bruh. I choose life," you thought to yourself when you heard his footsteps around the house as he called out to you.
"I'm not mad (Y/N). Come out," he would try to sound cool about it, but you knew he was definitely burying you today.
So long as he doesn't find you, you are good. And you doubted he would search the space between the two sofas anyways since it looked too small. You could see his feet as he paced around the house, searching for you. Until he eventually gave up an hour later and sat on one of the sofas.
"You won't stay hidden forever," he mumbled to himself, not knowing you could hear him.
"Bruh. Of all the places you could have rested in, you chose here?? Fucking Soap," you thought to yourself as you tried to stay silent, but it seemed like Simon had no intentions of moving anytime soon.
And after another hour of him just sitting there, you started to think he fell asleep, but it was hard to tell since he didn't snore, and you really needed to use the bathroom now.
You took in a deep slow breath before you started making your way out of your hiding spot as quietly as possible. You peeked your head out and slightly look Simon to see his eyes closed.
"Hell yeah, Stay asleep and let me pee in peace," you did a little victory dance in your head before you completely left your hiding spot and went to the toilet.
"You need to come back," you looked around you in panic as an unrecognizable voice whispered in your head.
"...What the fuck?" you mumbled under your breath as you tried to finish your business quicker.
"You need to come back. This isn't a prank. This is serious," the voice said again as you exited the bathroom. You put your hands over your ears as they spoke once again to make sure you weren't imagining things.
"You need to come back" it was coming from your head, but who was it? It wasn't someone you knew, that's for sure.
"What the hell..." you rubbed your temple as you tried to make it to your room to check if something was wrong with your phone. It shouldn't be working after all...
"Took you long enough," you felt Simon wrap his arms around you from behind.
"Haha... Ha. *Clears throat* I was just curious I swear. I'll delete it from my memory too," you smiled nervously as he held you tight.
"You need to come back," the voice said again.
"Your phone is ringing. I thought it didn't work?" he suddenly said, and you turned to look at him, puzzled.
"Huh?" you couldn't hear it. All you could hear was the stranger's voice telling you to come back.
"Your phone is ringing," he said again, more firmly this time.
"Do you want me to pick it up?" he asked."No. No, don't. I can't hear it. I... Something is wrong, I can only hear this voice telling me to come back nonstop..." you put your hands over your ears again.
"You need to come back" it was still there.
Simon put his hands over yours and pulled them away from your ears, his eyes filled with concern.
"Are you sure you don't want me to check your phone? It's been ringing nonstop for the past 15 minutes," he asked again.
"How does it even ring? It's broken.. what the fuck" you cussed out as the voice continued to say the same thing over and over again.
"Maybe you should check it then," you knew you should or it would continue to ring nonstop. But you were scared.
"Do you know what that means? I will have a connection with my world again. I may disappear..." you slowly admitted. You didn't want to break your promise after all.
"I'll keep a hold on you. If anything happens, I'll pull you back. Just try to turn it off again," he reassured as he held your hands, and you took a deep breath before nodding your head and heading into your room, dragging him behind you.
Your phone was still lying on the table, and the screen was black. You couldn't hear the ringing either so you turned to look at Simon who had an iron-clad grip on your hand.
"It's not on...?" you stated and questioned at the same time since you couldn't really tell. Simon looked at you puzzled.
"It is on. The screen is glowing." you turned to look at your phone again. The voice was still there, repeating the same sentence over and over again.
"You gotta be shitting me..." you took a deep breath in before approaching your phone. How were you supposed to turn something off when it's already turned off anyways??
"See... It is off. How am I supposed to turn it o-" you turned your head to look at Simon, only to see him looking at you wide-eyed.
"What?" you felt his grip loosen on your hand and you looked down to see his hand going through you instead.
"You need to come back now. Time's up" the voice stated as your screen suddenly glowed, and you tried to turn it off again but your phone was stuck.
It didn't matter how many times you tried to press the button. It refused to work as if someone else was controlling it somehow.
Simon took your phone and tried to smash it on the floor, but nothing happened. He tried again, and again. And again.
But it was already late, you were already fading when he looked back at you again, and he reached out his hand for you. You reached out as well, trying to hold him one last time, but everything went dark before you could reach him.
