You had just been about to head to bed, but when you looked out the window as you were closing the curtains you forgot all about bedtime, rushing to your brother's room and barging in without knocking.

"Did you look out the window?!"

Ace had, so your behavior didn't surprise him the slightest.

"Yes, Y/N."

"It's snowing!"

"I know."

You bounced on your feet, the big smile plastered onto your face in stark contrast to your brother's deadpan expression.

"Let's go outside, please, please, please!", you begged him.

"It's midnight."

"It's snowing!"

"Great. That doesn't change the fact that it's way past your bedtime, though."

"But if I go to bed now the snow might already be gone again when I wake up! It's not cold enough during the days yet, it's immediately gonna melt," you whined.

"So your solution is to go outside to play in the snow in the middle of the night?"

You nodded.

"There'll be more snow once it gets colder, you know that, right?"

"Yeah, but there's snow now. Come outside with me, just for a bit, please Ace!"

"Fine." He took in your pajama-clad figure. "But put on some socks first, how about that?"

"What do I need socks for? I can wear my boots barefoot, we're not going outside for long anyway."

"Socks or we're not going outside at all."

"Ugh, fine."

You ran back to your room and put socks on, before following your brother to the kitchen door where he was already waiting with your coat and boots.

"Ten minutes, and then you're going straight to bed," he said.

You rolled your eyes. "Yes, Mom."

"Watch it!" Ace lightly slapped the back of your head.

"Ouch."

"That didn't hurt."

"Yes, it did," you lied.

"No, it didn't."

"Yes, it did."

"Really?"

You nodded.

"Okay, 'm sorry. C'mere." He hugged you and kissed the back of your head. "Better?"

"Mhm." You slipped your gloves on. "Now come on, the snow's waiting!"
