<6 years later>

"Dad! Daddy!" Ruby shouts, running into her parents' room. Virgil and Roman, who were a little startled by the outburst, turned to her. "What is it, Rue?" Roman asks. "Please don't tell me your sister is hurt-" Virgil adds.

"Pappy met a girl!!" Ruby exclaimed excitedly.

Virgil looks at Roman, who was returning a shocked expression. "M-my father??" He asks for clarification. Ruby nods happily, running out of the room. Virgil and Roman follow, eventually ending up spying on Romulus talking to a woman in the garden.

"Oh my, Romulus, you've really been around that long? Oh heavens."
"It's not as interesting as it sounds.."
"Really? I rather enjoy the thought of immortality."
"But.. you would have to drink blood to sustain yourself. You'd die otherwise."
"I'm well aware. Sorry, was that supposed to deter me?"

The woman chuckled, putting her hand up to her mouth for a moment as she did.

"That woman..." Roman trailed off with a look of disbelief. "What is it, Ro?" Virgil asked.

"She... Smells like my mother.."

Later that day, Roman walked to the throne room, where Romulus was all but starstruck. It was the first time Roman has seen him smile this much in decades.
"I know you were listening, Roman." Romulus says, though he didn't sound irritated. Roman chuckles a little. "Sorry, Ruby was quite excited about it."

"Roman.. oh, it's her." Romulus says, looking enchanted. "That woman, she smells like Vanessa, she almost acts like her, and help me... She bears her mark. Faintly, but it is there. And it's mine."

Roman smiles. Happy for his father moreso, because it would take him a little getting used to. He didn't hate this woman, though. "What's her name, father?"

"Celeste. Her name is Celeste."

Over the course of almost a year, Roman and Remus got to know this Celeste person. And in November, she insisted upon being turned. If anything, she had to remind Romulus to eat.

"It looks like your dad is really happy, Ro." Virgil comments. "I know, isn't it wonderful? I may not know this woman to be my mother, but she is clearly a wonderful person for my father, and for that, I am happy."

<3 months later>

"Romulus?" Celeste says softly, closing the door to the king's room. Romulus looked over and smiled. "Hello, dear. Is something wrong?"

Celeste took a moment, thinking about her response. "No. Nothing wrong, just.. well, I have some news I think you ought to know." She says, sitting down and grabbing hold of Romulus's hands.
Romulus looked at her, examining. She was glowing; a faint glint of happiness in her eyes, an ever-present smile, and she smelled almost sweeter.

Romulus then realized.

"My word. You're pregnant." Celeste let out a soft giggle as Romulus turned a bit pink. "So I see you did learn something from your late wife?"

Romulus continued to process for a moment, eventually deciding he was happy. He picked Celeste up and twirled her, both of them overjoyed.

However..

About a month later, Romulus found Celeste crying in the bathroom. Worried, he went up to her. "Celeste, darling, what's the matter?"

Too ridden with grief, the only words she could utter were "The baby.." Romulus was confused for a moment, then once he realized, was in too much shock to feel anything. He opted to hold his mate while he tried to figure out what he was feeling.

A few years ago by, and Celeste was currently pacing, worried this time compared to her joy last time. She got pregnant again. And she wants to be happy, but she's scared it'll happen again.

She eventually decided to go find Romulus, because she knows that either way, he should know.
She didn't have to say a word. She walked up to her husband, and when he turned around to face her, he knew. Her face was full of mixed emotions like concern, hope, and grief.

"Celeste.." he whispered. "What if this one doesn't make it either, Romulus..? I..." She started crying. Romulus held her, running a hand through her hair. "Have faith, my love.. It's all we can do.."

As the months progressed, Celeste grew more hopeful that she would have this baby; 6 months and she's still carrying.

Boy, that was a conversation with Roman and Remus, though. Remus's daughter, Darianna, was especially nosey about it.

"Grandpa's gonna have another kid? But isn't he like, really old?"
"Dari, he's a vampire. He's still a teenager with his our age works."

Romulus chuckles. "It's alright, Remus, I am old. I am 523, you know."

"I thought she got pregnant years ago." Darianna said. Janice quickly pulled her aside and told her to be quiet.
Celeste kept herself composed, but was still visibly grieving. "I... I did, sweetheart, but.. well,... The baby didn't make it.."

"She had a miscarriage, idiot!" Ruby said. "Ruby!" Virgil chided. "Miss Celeste?.... Your baby is going to be healthy. She will be born May 12th at 7:14pm, and will have strawberry blonde hair and red eyes." Violet said, her eyes glowing purple as she did.
Everyone looked at the quiet twin. Her violet eyes aren't just a cool thing she got at birth, they also indicated a supernatural power to see the future. She just doesn't have very good control over it yet, being only a 11 year old vampire.

Virgil and Roman looked at each other. They didn't know Violet had this ability. Everyone was quiet, because they were all surprised. This made Violet feel awkward, so she fiddled her hands and walked to her room.
After a moment, Celeste burst into tears, but was happy. "Y-you... You have an extraordinary child.." she tells Virgil and Roman.

The baby comes exactly when Violet had predicted she would; and Celeste and Romulus couldn't be more happy.

Everyone was proud to welcome the new member of the family, Judith Alexander.
