Warnings: Talk of religion(s), teasing

Virgil smiles to himself as he ate breakfast. "Hey emo." Remus says, making Virgil jump a little. "Don't scare him, Remus, that's rude. Sorry, my love." Roman said, sitting beside Virgil.
"I-it's okay- you two seem kinda happy." Virgil says as he eats. "Don't tell me he doesn't know what day it is?" Remus says. "Not a lot of humans do, Remus, at least not in our area." Roman responds.

"Umm.. It's April 30th isn't it?" Virgil says, looking confused. Roman nods, smiling a little. "Tonight is also what's known as Walpurgisnacht. It's a holiday that Remus especially loves." he says.
"I.. I think I learned about that in school, isn't it like, the witch's night or something?" Virgil asks. Roman thought about how to explain it, tilting his head slightly. "Yes.. And no. It's much like the holiday humans call 'Christmas'; it has different meanings depending on who taught you first: people of Christian religion, or people of Pagan or no religion." he says.

"Oh, so kinda like how Christians took the Pagan holiday of, I think Yule, and made it about their God's son? Who, according to their actual religion, wasn't even born in December?" Virgil says, looking at him.
Remus seemed surprised. "Wow, I'm surprised you knew that, honestly." Roman nods. "Correct; Walpurgisnacht, or Hexennacht, was originally a holiday celebrating the changing of the seasons, and to bring a fertile spring. Back in the early days of its celebration, people would make sacrifices and dance around a bonfire, though I think the latter is still done to this day by the people who still celebrate it. But the reason Remus likes it is.. Um.." Roman says.

"Because people had orgies! Mainly, anyway. Also it's a cool holiday." Remus says. Roman sighs a groan. "There. I, however, like the holiday for the history behind it." he says, looking back at Virgil. "Of course, when Christianity found the holiday, they made it seem like an awful, awful night; making witches out to be evil or malicious. Granted, they did the same with vampires, so I'm not surprised.
"They made the bonfires a thing to ward off the witches or evil spirits in general, and banned witchcraft all together. In fact, they even used one of their saints to Christianize the holiday." Roman says.

"You sound like you really don't like Christians-" Virgil says. "It's the religion itself, not necessarily everyone who follows it. That religion tells people bad things about beings like us, beings you humans often call 'monsters', or if you're nice, 'the supernatural'. Despite all the stereotypes based on Christian lore, vampires don't die in sunlight, or by a wooden stake, and we don't hate garlic in specific. We don't like human food in general." Roman tells him.

"Jesus, well, I just don't like it cuz I personally don't agree with it. I'd be more swayed to believe in Greek Gods than one all powerful God, honestly. But hey, I've met some Christians who are pretty okay with gay people like me, so they can live. The bad ones though, they- I get so mad at them." Virgil says.
"The day I meet a Christian who doesn't immediately hold a cross up to me, I'll be impressed." Roman says. Virgil giggles a little, washing his dishes and putting them away.

"You never cease to intrigue me, Virgil." Roman says, putting his arms around Virgil's waist from behind. Virgil blushes a little. "Wh-why's that?" he asks, leaning back on him.
"You didn't scream when you saw what I was, you didn't even try to run." Roman says, resting his head in the crook of Virgil's neck.

"Wait, really? Wow emo, that's pretty surprising. You know even Patton was afraid at first, right?" Remus says. "Well, when you're put in constant danger all day every day, not much phases you." Virgil says, leaning back against Roman.
"Doesn't it hurt when he bites you though? It's so weird, you don't even flinch anymore. It's like- it's like you enjoy it." Remus says curiously.

"You do seem to get flustered when I'm this close to you, dear~ I don't even have to do anything more than hold you like this, and your heart speeds up~" Roman murmurs quietly, pulling Virgil closer.
"Mm-" Virgil squeaked, blushing brightly. "I'm gonna go eat, his scent is making me hungry. Cya." Remus says, walking away.

Roman chuckles. "You alright there, my love?" he asks. "Y-yep- I- you're so- well-" Virgil stutters. "Hm?" Roman hums, smiling slyly. "Y-you know exactly what you're doing, you-" Virgil said.
Roman chuckled softly. "You think I don't pay attention to what you like? Besides, seeing you blush is so adorable~"

Virgil blushes darker and huffs. "I-i'm not adorable in any way shape or fo-" he starts, but is cut off by squeaking when Roman bit him, covering Virgil's mouth with one of his hands.
"None of that." Roman murmurs when he pulled back. "You're wonderful in every way, dear." he says, taking his hand off Virgil's mouth.

Virgil blushes and gave a soft grunt, not fighting back this time. ".. You're such a flirt." he mumbles, leaning into Roman's chest. Roman holds him by the waist, smiling a little. "You say that as if it's a bad thing."

"No, not at all."
