Taylor's POV

As I glance over at Matthew, driving us back home, he had collected me from Jay's and I am almost positive that he's uncomfortable with my being around him. Regarding his tense expression, I decide that telling him about the blood is not the best idea. I watch him grip onto the wheel before he indicates into our road.

"How was art" I say softly rubbing his thigh and he relaxes next to me.

"It was okay, we should stay off university for a bit" he says eyeing me warily concern shadowing his face in the gloomy dark car. The street lights illuminate his cheekbones as he passes by and I watch him.

"It's tiring you out Taylor; we need to take it easy. I cant always be there for you if I'm distracted with art or exhibits or anything else" he explains, we have a couple of weeks before Christmas break and I need to fulfil my role in the dance performance. I protest and he pulls up in the drive coming around to my side and helping me out of the car.

My absolute first thought is to check on the blood in the bathroom as we head into the house. I practically bound up the stairs and lock myself in the bathroom. Pulling at my clothes worried, I strip off and eye my bump in the mirror. Turning to the side and seeing the curve protrude from my tummy I smile. I stroke over bump and feel a sense of relief that there is no fresh new blood to be found. Pulling on Matthew's striped button up shirt I descend the wooden staircase intent on relieving his worries, now that mine have also been eased.

Watching him from the door, I lean on the wooden frame and he looks up smiling. I had changed into his shirt, the button up one that I wear continually. The buttons just stretching around the bump as I wear it in front of him. His arms encircle me in the hall and he carries me up the stairs, his mouth to mine.

"Sorry for being heavy handed" he whispers laying me down on our bed and moving the shirt up to kiss down my belly. I giggle and he smiles up at me.

"University is important, I just worry." He sighs and I place my hands through his hair.

"I'm happy that you were safe and warm and eating pizza instead of sitting waiting in the cold too" he admits and a small smiles stretches across my lips.

"I thank him for that at least" he sighs and chuckles. Rubbing his back softly as he lays in my chest I feel his breathing deepen and smile. I pull my hands through his curls and he sighs before kissing me sleepily. Matthew rolls over and I check my phone briefly, intending on googling spotting and blood during the second trimester. Glancing through my messages I notice one from Gilbert Scott.

You left your ice cream here. Jay x

I tap a message back to him smiling and wait for his reply.

You are more than welcome to my ice cream. Fancy another revision session in a couple weeks. We need to catch Ross up x

I send back to him and eagerly await his reply.

You're a square. Don't worry I'm eating it right this very moment. Yes curry this time? Do you like curry?x

He replies and I smirk looking down at my phone in the dark. Running my hands through Matthew's hair as I read it.

Yes I'll make you one, better than any takeout I promise x

I type back and Matthew huddles closer to me.
